May 6th, 2010. 11:23 AM: The Rapture Begins
All around the world, people just disappear. They begin to float up to the clouds, to heaven. These people have been good, followed the teachings of the Bible, earned their salvation. As thousands of people are floating effortlessly to heaven, you are watching this from the ground. For one reason or another, you are still trapped on earth. You have been left behind. You get to witness something prophesized for a thousand years: The Second Comming of Jesus, and the Seven Years War.
May 7th, 2010. 12:00 Noon: The Second Comming
By now, around 2 million have met salvation. The remaining 4 Million people on earth, composed of Aithiests, Satanists, criminals, and everyday day sinners, remain on earth. An international broadcast goes out, as something is happening. Over the city of Jerusalem, a man is seen descending from the clouds. He has wings like an angel and a halo over his head, as well as brown hair and a beard. When he reaches the ground, he is immediatly swarmed by news crews. Despite the chaos around him, he remains perfectly calm. Speaking directly into a camera, his announcement is heard all over the world: "I am Jesus Christ, here to do battle with the Anti-Christ, for good or for ill." The Second comming.
May 7th, 2010. 6:13 PM: The War Begins
Large cracks in Earth's crust open up, and the Anti-Christ rises out to meet Jesus' challenge. Legions of the underworld rise up, and in return thousands of angels are seen descending from heaven. Within minutes, a massive battle consumes the world, as hellfire rains down, and demons and angels do war, both with swords and more advanced technology. The world's armies are caught in the middle of the conflict, but they are foot notes and fruit flies on a much larger conflict. The world becomes one massive battle field between good and evil, and humanity is caught in the middle. Armageddon has begun.

After a just month of warfare, the world is already a smoking ruin. Although the battle still rages on, the land they are fighting over is little more than a shell of it's former glory. However, through luck or skill, you have managed to survive. You never left the small suburb you lived in, although now it is just a ruin. You, as well as many others from your former community, have banded together to decide what to do next, to ensure your survival. Above all else, you must do the impossible: Win the Seven Years War, Survive Armageddon.

Hello, welcome to Armageddon: The Seven Years War. This is an RP where you will try and survive in a post appocalyptic world, while a war of the heavens still rages on. The starting location will be a small suburb outside of New York City, one month after the war began. Needless to say, you will be working with other survivors to try and make it through the war in one piece.
!Important! In no way, shape, or form do I intend to offended anyone with this RP. The religous elements are just here to set pace and create atmosphere, not to prove one religion over another or to make fun of any beliefs. That being said, many elements to this backround are likely unaccurate to the book of revelations. Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice accuracy for plot. I'm sure you will understand.

However, despite his best efforts, he found himself in a gang war and accidentaly shot another kid dead. Three days after evading the cops, he woke to find people floating away, including his entire family. He had been left behind, but he liked the idea of a world with no rules to claim his own. Appearance: Jon is no longer in his prime, but neither is he decrepit. Considering that he is nearly 50, he is in better than average shape, and he retains a decent degree of strength, and though slower, his reflexes are still lightning fast.

Appearance: 6 ft 2, quite strong, speaks Appalachian English dialect and dresses in his grandfathers old WW2 Army Uniform as it "Goes with the..Atmos..Atmos.. The Feeling in the Air", He wears a helmet that he slopes on the right side of his head, "Grandaddy always said everyone was right handed, Makes sence to protect The Right side....which is your right side... thats how i remember it" he also carries a useless Colt Pistol for sentimental value.
Backstory: Aldo Roth grew up in the mountains of Tenessee with his grandfather mother,father and 6 brothers, He dropped out of school early as he saw it as a waste of time, preferring to work on the cars in his families Repair shop, While not esactly what one would call "Intellectual" he surprised many by being amazingly adept at repairing all manner of Vehicles
His family was very religious, when the Christians Accended into the heavens, so did his family, however he remained, why this is remains a mystery even to him. now a voluble, freewheeling outlaw, and claiming what was left behind by his family, he roams the land Trying to make a living
