I believe the multiplayer is 5v5. It's actully 4v4 as each team has one player take the role of a "operator". Essentially they look at that satalite map and give directions to other players, I haven't done too much research but aside from giving directions and relaying info they can also send feeds to players letting them know what kind of weapons the enemy is using if they sight them long enough to scan them.BiggyShackleton said:I love Armoured Core, haven't been as impressed with the newer games but I have high hopes this one will turn out good. I remember seeing something a while back where the MP featured a Commander role and basically watched a satellite feed? Does anyone know if that's still implemented in the game? It looked pretty interesting.
Do it, it is actually loads of fun trying to tweak you mech to the point that it can go through the entire story without dying, which usually means you have to unlock everything firstbusterkeatonrules said:Wow, you get to customize your own mecha? I need to give this series a try!
OK, I've been watching two minutes of gameplay footage on YouTube, and the player just equipped his mecha with something that basically looks like a very big fist made of chainsaws. I was planning to replay Steambot Chronicles again, but now it seems I'll have to try this instead!Jesse Billingsley said:Do it, it is actually loads of fun trying to tweak you mech to the point that it can go through the entire story without dying, which usually means you have to unlock everything firstbusterkeatonrules said:Wow, you get to customize your own mecha? Really? I use a Tellus core in FA and I haven't had any problems, in fact I basically have unlimited EN with the Flight enabled boosters on and a heavy generator in 120 and 140.DrMegaNutz said:Got I reserved for PS3. Played For Answer but it would lag if I used the Interior Union nexts. Hopefully this one doesn't lag as bad. Also picking up RE: Operation Raccoon City as well.
Yea I don't know. Maybe a messed up disk or somethingJesse Billingsley said:Really? Learning curve as well. It took me awhile to learn how to properly build and tune a mech that would be Multiplayer worthy. Some people don't want to take the time to do all that, they like being handed their gear and sent out to play and that's great and all, but there is a certain satisfaction you get when you finally make a kick ass mech from scratch.T_ConX said:You would think in a gaming culture so hjead-over-heels with online FPSs and TPSs like Cawadoody and Gears of War, a game with giant customizable robots shooting at each other would get more attention...
Honestly, I blame the difficulty curve... and the lack of a $100M marketing budget.
Hope to see you on the battlefield then! Cheers!kouriichi said:I may see about renting it. I was a fan of AC a loooong time ago.
And if i really enjoy it, a purchase will probably follow.
I wasnt sure if it was this month or not though. So thanks for bringing this to my attention! And may your rockets find their targets![]()
Hence the reason why its coming out on the 20th of March, tomorrowGundamSentinel said:I don't think I'll get it on release, but I will get it eventually. Will it even be released here? I haven't a clue. Loved AC4 and FA, so I must have it. Off to the laboratory to do some ACV research!
no complaints thereerttheking said:I played the demo for the fourth game and I noticed that there was a multiplayer for this one. I'll give it a look. I like FPSs but frankly I could use a change of scenery, and flying around in a giant unstoppable mech has a certain appeal to it.
Where you live, maybe. I'll have to wait until the 23rd. Ah well, too much to do anyway.Jesse Billingsley said:Hence the reason why its coming out on the 20th of March, tomorrowGundamSentinel said:I don't think I'll get it on release, but I will get it eventually.
