Source? This rumour's been floating 'round since the end of the last series ("Maybe a movie...").

What are we supposed to discuss?

Edit:Nevermind.

I'm also happy that they're releasing this movie.

But it doesn't actually tell you anything; "reportedly all the cast are on board" isn't really incontrovertible proof...

Let's say this does get made, then what? I wasn't a big fan of the show, so i'm coming from the opposite field with my views.

Remember, the show got canceled for a reason. What other show had a similar fate? Yes, Firefly. Firefly got canned and then they made a movie based on it. A movie that didn't do too grand, mind you.

I guess i'm from the camp of "just because people liked a show doesn't mean it needs a movie". You can like the show all you want, but a show having a cult following doesn't exactly mean it's film worthy. I could sit here and talk about how much I love Megas XLR, but I don't think it needs to be made into a feature length film. I do, however, believe it should be brought back to T.V. with new episodes(anywhere other than the shit that is now Adult Swim will suffice).

In short: cult followings doesn't equal mass appeal.

I see what you mean, but I still wouldn't write it off because of that. Serenity was a different story, they tried to tie a whole jungle of loose threads together in roughly two hours, it wasn't exactly the best of circumstances. Arrested Development met a similar fate, but it's a different kind of show and it's got different conditions when (if) it's being moviefied.

And while a hit TV-series doesn't make a good movie, it doesn't have to be the other way around. Look at Sex and the City, it did well with it's target audience last summer.

Not saying it's automatically going to be the best movie evah! I'm just saying, I'm not skeptic ^^

Yes, but that page has been around for ages. the only difference is the quote I picked out. Last I heard they were trying to get Michael Cera on board. In lieu of an official announcement, I refuse to get my hopes up.

Like I said, i'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade. I just think people need to look at it from both sides of the fence here, and I like to offer the counter-statement to everyone saying "Yes! This is what will make the world a better place for children of the future!"
