I've been watching that as well. It's surprising how much red tape there is around the school scene. It's one of the reason I gave up trying to be a teacher. I spent 2 years taking education classes in college after doing plenty of volunteer teaching as a high schooler. But as soon as I realized what things are really like, I jetted right away.Radelaide said:...wut? Man, I was just watching Jamie Oliver's School Revolution where he was in an American school trying to get them to eat healthier... But apparently just getting them to eat is illegal.
Seriously, I have so little faith in America these days.
If they print on the card that says "it is illegal to sell this" like they do on keys and what not, then I'd call it fair.xDarc said:Here in Detroit Metro, people get food stamps on debit cards called "Bridge Cards."
They typically get 400-800$ a month to spend on groceries with these cards. Since very few actually need to spend that much, a ridiculous amount of people sell them for cash (usually half price) to people who actually need to purchase that amount of groceries every month.
The result is millions of dollars of government aid wasted on people who don't qualify it.
I realize the instance in the story of the thread is petty, but where should the line get drawn?
Pretty much my feelings. I mean, "It's illegal to share a free lunch"!? Bull. Fucking. Shit.SnipErlite said:.......WHAT?
No really. What the fuck?
Damn... the stupid is just too great. *sigh* well at least he got off...I think there would've been riots in that school if he'd have been charged.
Yes please.Bigsmith said:I do believe the worlds stupidity has reached concerning levels.
Anyone up for causing some natural selection?
