Here's another 'what if' question for you Escapists. An alien has just warped you up to their mothership and demanded to see, in your opinion, the best bits of human art that you can muster. They demand off you:
A film
A piece of music (that means a single song, not a CD)
A book
A game (this can be a board game, video game or anything you see as a game)
A painting, sculpture or art installation

So, what pieces of art would you show to our new alien overlords?

Metropolis (silent expressive classic, would capture a sense of heart)

Life On Mars, Bowie. Should be something with universal(?) appeal

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (I'd normally pick horror but... not sure that'd be a good idear)

Super Mario Galaxy (again, universal appeal, pure fun too)

Nitehawks

Hero in a half shell
