That.....is awesome. He might well be able to create some cool stuff with it, and let's face it: A 7-foot pen is a great conversation starter.

It's a cool idea, but I'm cautious about the nib. It seems like the surface tension of ink will make for a leaky writing implement, as well as splash out of the reservoir.

I agree with this. The reason pen nibs are so small is so that the ink stays in via surface tension which only works on small scales. I'm interested to see what he'll end up making with this pen. Also a pen like this is practically...

I personally think this is utterly awesome. It's practically art unto itself, regardless of what it can draw.
