Not sure what/if there is an American equivalent, but do you think a firearms Possession and Acquisition License would give me a better chance at getting hired?

What would you do if you asked someone "do you know how fast you were driving?" and they replied "no"?
In the movie Se7en, the gumshoes are able to trace the location of the killer by examining secret FBI records of his library withdrawls. Could/does the FBI actually compile that kind of information, or is it just plain Hollywood bullshit?
Finally, who do they pick for line-ups at the police station (as seen in The Usual Suspects)? Do they literally just grab a load of suspicious looking guys off the street for someone to identify?
