So seeing how much crazy shit my state has been going through recently (lets cut school funding who needs education?, lets spend taxpayer money to try to take away gay rights, lets have a corrupt police force that ignores rape cases and lies about crime rates, just a few examples)
I feel some outsiders of Arizona may have questions of how things really are here? How many people here really hate immigrants or gay people. Is everyone from here an incredibly ignorant person? What do you feel about....? being from Arizona. Whatever you wanna ask.

Todays your lucky day. I a citizen of this state Arizona (which I like but hate our leaders) will answer any questions you have for me.
So bring on the questions.

EDIT Any Arizonan can provide their view points in this thread

Is any of that actually happening or is it Internet/liberal media hyperbole?

Ya rape cases really were ignored by our sheriff who brags about how "tough he is on criminals"
Our education spending is currently 49th in the country
Our current governor really did spend our money trying to make life harder for gay people.

Let's talk living conditions. I understand going over a hundred degrees (in the shade) is rather common in Arizona. Knowing what that's like, because despite all rain we still have days like that in a Pittsburgh summer, I have to ask: How does anybody stand it? The sun is blinding, the rays are harmful, the heat is terrible, and you don't get one-tenth the rain I do or have the rivers to compensate. How do you cope?!

Captcha: leave me alone

NO!

You get used to it by living here, wear sunglasses, wear sunscreen if you are sensitive or full body clothing, and most of the water comes from the Colorado river and other northern water sources. There are worse places to live, just go a little farther south.

Edit: As you can tell I am also Arizonan. So I can also provide a view.

The longer you live here the more your body gets used to it, also dressing in white helps a lot, air conditioning is a must unless you want a house thats even hotter than the outside. The sun blinds me constantly I just squint and hope I dont bump in to things. When we do get the rain I think were 10x happier than you though its almost like a short mini holiday. We stay inside a lot during the summer if we can but sadly cant always. The rich people have pools to compensate for no lakes. Plus some not so rich have either above ground pools or dig a hole and fill it with water (I've never had a pool except living in apartments) I cant swim.
Also you need to have a drink with you ESPECIALLY if youre not from Arizona.
A lot of people come here from other states, get lost, run out of gas, have no drinks, and die trying to find a gas station or water.
And also if you ever want to be able to hug people without them feeling your sweat a wifebeater under the shirt stops your sweat and doesnt add much heat.

Available information only pointed to chuckman1 as Arizonan so Identifying myself shows that I have a similar experience and can add on to the conversation from experience. Especially since the conditions you asked about are not Arizona exclusive so I could have been from any where.

If it was friendly sarcasm, well there is the inability to do it in text, so take the reply that is valid.
