A Note to the ds user group and to others
Sorry guys for not being here, a lot of work going on and I get very little free time. Any way I would like to talk about assassin?s creed 2 discovery on the ds. This is a follow up to assassin?s creed Altiar chronicles (which I sadly own). acac suffered from bland gameplay a horrible rpg system, bad graphics, lack of assassinations and an story that made no sense. I expected the new one to suck but was I wrong. Ditching the beat um up style for pure 2D was the first step in the right direction, then they put voice acting the beautiful voice acting, then they have their own separate story outside of the real one which has you in Spain fighting off the moors and helping Christopher Columbus.
next are the assassinations this is something I truly like because in the original, we had Altiar cut someone and that was it, now with Ezio we get a close up of him being a badass with a blade. There?s even stealth! How is that not awesome? Is there anything I miss from acac? Well ya there?s 2 things, but there small. I wish I could have more than just a sword and knife, maybe a hidden gun (hint hint) and maybe Ezio could have said something when he assassinated an enemy.
Now for any problems, well there are only a few, there are the enemies who gang up on you, there?s the fact that archers make it impossible to climb up anywhere, and finally the game is too short. Even with all the challenge levels, it will only take you one weekend to play thorough, but that doesn?t matter because the story wraps up nicely and everything seems like it had just been polished off and adding anything else would just ruin the beauty . Gives this a rent like I did and you will not regret it.
On a final note you can put your face in the game if you have a dsi (I put this here because I could not find a place to put it in the review.) also join the escapist ds user
