just wanted to see what people think of uplay in assassins creed 2.

It's an added feature that can only be accessed with a Ubisoft account and it gives you exclusive content by unlocking certain achievements/trophies that are called 'Actions' in the uplay menu. The Actions earn you points which can be exchanged for rewards depending on the game. The only games that support it are R.U.S.E and Assassin's Creed 2 and you earn enough points in the game to unlock them all eventually in each game, for each game.-ultimasupersaiyan

I like it and hope to see it in more games because it gives people more reason to play the game, I already got the Altair outfit and the Auditore tomb, all I need is the other nots so cool things.

I really like it.
It's like the achievement system, but with an actual point to it.
I hope they add this system to more games in the future.

Ok thanks least it's good that you get all the points in the game and don't have to buy points to get all unlockables, so first impression is very good!

You hit the nail on the head.

It is an achievment point system where you can "buy" things with your points... what is not to like? It is actually rewarding you for playing the game (although playing a game as good as AC2 is reward enough).

and all you have to do is play the game all the way through to get enough points to get everything

I think it's a nice addition. I mean most would most likely charge you for stuff like that especially new costumes. But it's nice to be rewarded for playing the game and such.

Only thing I felt odd was that on the PS3, when it comes up that you've got a Uplay thing, it looks like an Xbox Achievement so the first time I got one it was like "WTF?"

I hope they put it into more games, I don't think anyone would complain if they can unlock extra stuff by just playing the game

I'd like to see more games use it - maybe something more streamlined than actually logging into UPlay to redeem the awards, but the same general principle. Tons of arcade games used to give you gamer pics to use as your avatar back before we could make our own avatars - now I know hardly anyone who uses the old avatars.
I'd like to see more unlocks - avatar items, dashboard themes, in-game bonuses. It's a great idea.
