Or, how about this: Batman's Creed.

They realize that Desmond is also Bruce Wayne's ancestor, so you go around as Batman, riding in your batmobile through Gotham, assassinating villains. And every once in a while, the Bat-signal shines in the sky, and you have to collect a buncha flags under a time limit. You also have to go back to the Batcave after every assassination and listen to Alfred scold you for 10 minutes.
...um AWSOME!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

As long as Alfred was played by Michael Caine, I could watch those cutscenes aaaaaaall day.

I'd like to see an early Victorian era London in AC2. Lots of buildings tightly packed together, a sooty smoggy and dirty environment, and a setting in which firearms could take second place to melee weapons. A ripe setting for conspiracies too.

A quick warning, this will contain spoilers pertaining to Assassin's Creed and it's ending.

I'd bet my money that Assassin's Creed 2 will be placed in a Mayan setting more than anything. There is more things to do with Mayan culture more than anything, Quetzalcoatl(which was misspelled in the game) was the biggest hint. There was also a set of numbers, 12212012; which anybody who has taken a decent history class would know is 21 of December in 2012. It's a very important date, for it marks the 'end of the world as we know it'. The ancient Mayan civilizations used the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar and a significant event is supposed to take place. In Assassin's Creed this event is obvious, and it also tells us when the game takes place. Reading through Vidic's emails you'll see that Abstergo must 'launch' on the 21st of December. It is safe, then, to say that the 'present day' antics take place in September 2012, and that Abstergo wish to launch the satellite on 12/12/2012 to begin the new era in control of mankind.

And finally, Mayans are well known for their pyramids; but so is Egypt. So I might have just wasted far too much time putting into this. But, if I'm right-- this is proof that I may say, I told you so.

Some days after I had completed AC i saw the movie The Butterfly Effect (great film by the way)
and I kind of saw i connection, because in the end of AC in your bedroom there is a drawing on the wall of Lorenz attractor (the weird cycley thing just over the bed)which is a very important part of The butterfly effect (Chaos Theory).

The Butterfly Effect (the film) is about a guy who can reenter his memories and change the past and thereby change the future.

So my thought was that Desmond would use the Animus (or something similar) to act as Altair and change something in the past and thereby change the future (that way the game would keep the medieval-theme)

You might kill me for this, but:

They shouldn't make a sequel.

Not simply because the whole 'Prince of Persia sequels' incident caused uproar within what should have been a loyal and committed fanbase and a repeat is probably on the horizon for AC, but also because the ending was good and - for the most part - closed. So what if the world is going to end? At least it's some sort of conclusion. And who cares if it's a negative one? 12-year old crybabies who shouldn't even be playing the game?

So either Ninja's Creed or even now, Egyptians Assassins Creed or Myan Assassins Creed. I didn't know they had Assassins but, you'll never know.

Also, something else to point to Ninja's Creed, wasn't the other guy they captured for the brain machine thing Asian? I think they mentioned that, or am I just mistaken again?

To make an Assassins Creed Sequel Successful, Ubisoft needs to:
-Find some other historical setting (future would not work and be too similar to Hitman)
-Have skippable cutscenes
-Either none, or very different investigation missions
-Fewer investigation missions and more assassinations
-Multiple ways of assassination itself (poison, stabbing, 'accident')
-Free Running/open environment/populace all fine
-Make counter effectiveness decrease the longer you remain in battle
-Improve guard AI

At the end in Desmonds room, one of the writings says Quetcotels (the Aztec flying snake god) Hunger lies the answer. Could the other pieces of Eden Be in aztec ruins? Might it also tie into the dissaperance of the Mayans?

What about France during the 17th century? City guards prefered swords over guns, and the rooftops would be well fun to climb over. You could even have a go at assasinating Marie Antoinette or someone :p

I've done a little studying along with my nature of curiosity to figure out a few things about the game and the sequel. As far as a location, I am partial between Asia and the Mayan civilization. Or perhaps they will explore both in AC2 and AC3 another. As brilliantly stated prior to this, on the wall is the Mayan date 13.0.0.0 which is 12/21/2012 which represents for the Mayans the last day of the world. 22:13 is a revelations chapter in the bible relating to God speaking "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end".Also stated was the Lorenz Attractor or the butterfly affect on the wall. This along with quotes such as I went into the Annymous and never returned and a few others lead me to believe Desmond no longer needs the annymous to go into the past. On the floor next to the annymous is a temple resembling that of the Mayans. There is also a building symbolizing one of japan culture next to the words Yona Guni: a island of Japan. A lot of the other messages seem to be of religion. The apple near the steps possibly symbolizing the Garden of Eden, The Eye of Providince, The Bhuddist scriptures on the wall, along with other things. There were plenty other things that can be pulled together to come to numerous conclusions.
An e-mail from Mitchell-Hedges Communications also links the storyline to Maya. In the e-mail they talk about insufficient evidnence to prove existence of the Holy Grail. Just so you know, F.A. Mitchell-Hedges is a man who claimed to have discovered a "Skull of Doom" in the Maya ruins. This could perhaps be interpreted as the Piece of Eden.

On the other hand, many hints go towards

The only other hint I got from this game that I can think of envolves Lucy. Lucy is an assassin for anyone who didn't catch her pull her ring finger back towards the end or didn't even bother talking to her during the game.
I've put all this together and here is a broad idea of what I think AC2 has in store for us:
The second piece of the AC trilogy will take place in Asia during 1300 AD...the time period in which Feudal Japan, the Koreans, and the Goths had conflict. Due to the overwhelming greatness of the importance of the mayan civilization, i believe it will be the final chapter and probably AC3. Asia brings a lot of great opportunity and might even link the assassins with the ninjas. I do believe the upcoming AC installments will have a split story line just as the first did. I don't think that Desmond will become an assassin until the third game but I do believe he will posses more abilities than before as his ancestors memory "bleeds into his brain" (as one of the e-mails to the doc suspects will happened as it did to a previous subject). The walls speak of an irreparable truth which lead me to believe that in the new games, you will try to change events so that the present day of doom does not occur. Maybe not, but still on the subject. Japan offers the same building abilities that the locations in the first game offered if not better and cooler. And for those who didn't like the cool costume upgrades in PoP probably won't be to happy about trading the assassin's dirty white robe for a kick-ass ninja one (i vote for black...maybe red).
For more on facts and discoveries in the game, check out this guys forum, he pretty much lays it out in full:

I hope it will be placed in Japan but it could also be placed in South America. If you look on the right of Desmond's bed with your vision then youll see a line reading "Quetzalcoatl's hunger is the answers" and Quetzalcoatl is the Aztecs god and there is also a reference to the Mayan Calendar on the same wall which says 13.0.0.0.0 which is the end of the Mayans long count. This is translated into December 21, 2012 which is when the era of a new civilization is supposed to begin. But there are also many references to Japan because of all of the Japanese writing on the walls and if you look at the floor directly in front of the animus it says Yonagani which is an island off the coast of Japan. There are many other things on the wall such as a scripture 22:13 which says "I am Alpha and Omega" and there are the Alpha and Omega signs near it. And on a side note there is a puzzle on the floor to the right of the animus, next to the symbol for the god of the sun in egypt Ra, which is
M O R Y M N O E S
E N C E O L C H T
H O N B T L O T C
T D E O S A T O A
P E D S N L S T F
L D D U O O E T E
E A I E I R I N T
H S H K T T K E R
T U A A A N S S A

Now read it from the bottom right corner and up and then start on the next
column the same way. You should read this:

ARTEFACTS SENT TO THE SKIES TO CONTROL ALL NATIONS TO MAKE US OBEY A
HIDDEN CRUSADE DO NOT HELP THEM.
Then on the opposite side you see a celtic symbol and a bunch of letters in the form of a triangle and a barcode. You also see a pentagram on the floor towards the front of the animus. This was all put on the floors and walls by the person who was there before Desomnd named #16 who spent too much time in the Animus and became his past life.

AC was especially disappointing to me because even though the game had repetitive gameplay and lack of stealth (as mentioned above), the setting of Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus was amazing! The cities were beautiful and absolutely massive and it would be a shame if they were forgotten for AC 2.

A future/present setting I think would stray too close to 'Hitman' territory, meaning the franchise would lose a lot of it's charm. Guns I really wouldn't like to see, they are grossly overused in games and they would ruin the franchise.

Hopefully Altair will return, but this time without the american accent

i actually really enjoyed pop:ww everything down to the music, i am of course a fan of gosmack and like nothing more than crushing skulls to some rock and roll. WW fixed the biggest problem i had with SoT andn that was killable enemies, having to stab everyone an aditional time after beating them got so old in Sot i stopped playing it before beating it. but i've beaten WW a couple times and still enjoy it and combat.

as for assasin's creed 2 i'm not really going to make assumsions because it ended on such an open note to expect ANYthing will most likley disapoint you, i've had great experiences with multiple ubisoft titles not just the prince and altair, so i really don't expect anything aside from a game as equally breathtakeing and hoss as assasins creed was. thats all, of course watching the ending all the way through i figure their gonna bring paralell universes into it, i figured it had to do with philosophy or the occult until i read some of the stuff on the walls, no this is mostly based on some of the science we're playing with at the highest levels right now, so i figure you're going to see a more influx of technology for desmond, but as i said, i am making no assumsions about the new game. it should be pretty good.

AS for the equipment, it could play alot like the splinter cell games, and considering how both games are made by UBI Soft, maybe even tie the storylines of AC and SC together.
YES!!! ULTIMATE YES. i heard about AC and i really was escited for a stealth game with the idea of free running. and the ultimate would be to put splinter cell stealth with AC free running, wow i just peed myself a little ;-) hehe that would ROCK!

For some reason, trying to get everything in Assassin's Creed kept it from being "repetitively boring" to me. I loved all the exploration and just fell into the game with each play.

This game is probably the first new IP I've been excited about in a long time. It has so much potential to grow from here. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's been done in such a unique manner that there isn't much like it. So the only way we can really go is up. Or so I believe.

A computer states "we have located our next subject in the Far East", doesn't it? I imagine that means AC2 is Ninjas. I wouldn't mind a game doing modern stuff, either. You'd have to change a lot of the design to gameplay since it is modern/future, but that's just a reason it's a favorite IP. You can do anything with this franchise.

I must comment, though, that the whole Mayan thing is incorrectly viewed a lot. The calendar "ends", but it's also cyclical. It restarts, and this isn't the first time it has. However, coincidentally, a major disaster has occurred each time the calendar has cycled to a restart. So I imagine that something big might happen, but no end of the world. It's a bit tiring hearing of people note the end of the world over and over.

first off id just like to say that this reply has a multitude of SPOILERS in it that cant be avoided if im to make my point.

lets face it. aside from the repetitive nature of the game, assassins creed pwned ass.
as for the sequel make it the sameish but less repetitive and you have a winner.

as far as the story is concerned, it's a given that we will see a lot more of desmond in the sequel and no doubt more of his background will be explained.
abstergo belongs to the templars so logic would dictate that desmond belongs to altairs creed (it appears he has assassin friends battling abstergo industries)

going with what others have been saying stealth play in the future would be difficult but what if it were to take place solely within the abstergo building? makes sense, it could be desmond escaping to meet the assassins or sneaking around collecting intel (eavesdropping on guards or accessing computers, possibly interogation but i doubt that would work as well)

as for the past side of things altair is a likely contender as the character you play althoh after the events of the final mission altair could create another brotherhood or take over control of the current one (althoh i feel these are unlikely)
he could go in search of the other artifacts with malik (again seems unlikely given the events at the end of the story)

we know that at some point altair must father a child (otherwise desmond could not exist) so possibly it could follow his child as they perhaps search for the artifacts. An interesting twist would be to see altair turn evil and use the artefact(possibly leaving his child to destroy him?)

as far as other playable ancestors from past eras goes its a possibility althoh im edgy on how well that will work. i'm certain that japan or mayan cultures or places will feature either as hiding places for the artefacts or bases for the rebels or templars.

thats all i can remember just now but thats pretty much whats been going through my head since i finished the game, here is a link that will answer some questions you may still be having trouble making sense of after the ending of the first game,

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=175552

as for me im off to ponder the events and further my understanding of the story, whilie my ps3 eagerly awaits the sequel (good job i have gta4 and metal gear solid 4 to look forward to beforehand)

PSN ID: Ninja-Monkey-91 add me and message if youd like to discuss further =D

Well i think AC2 will be about u being Desmond in the year he is in which i think is 2012,but if u read the things on the floor and on the walls it gives alot of clues about AC2 such as Yona Guni is an island in japan which means there might be a treasure there and u have to get it, such as the Piece of eden, and u might use it against Abstergo, and if u read the the writing on the floor it say "artefacts sent to the skies to control all nations by a hidden crusade dont help them" or sumthin like that. so that means that abstergo will probably use the information they got from Desmond by using the Animus to get the piece of eden which can control peoples minds by temptation, and send it to the sky in a satilite to control the world. But as we know temptation makes u want to do terrible things, so things will probably go wrong and abstergo will end up using the mind control powers to do bad rather than good and Desmond will probably have to stop them somehow, and another thing if u read sum of the emails on the computers it says that subject 16 had a bleeding effect (which means he started becoming his ancester because he spent to much time in the animus, thats who wrote all those things in blood on the floor and walls). And if u remember Desmond got Eagle vison at the end of AC so that means he will either become Altiar or have all the ablities Altiar had, which he will use against abstergo. 1 more thing is the satelite is supposed to be sent near the end of dec,2012 (thats what it says on the emails) if u look on the floor its says 12212012 better known as 12-21-2012 thats is said to be when the world is supposed to end and it is also the date of the launch of the satelite (i just thought that was awkward)

My little dream is that

The head of Abstergo(or something) is the descendant of AL Muliam and he wants revenge on Altair for the murder of his great great great on and on grandpa. He plans to get Desmond's memory and then kill him but Lucy who we know is secret agent working for assassins and helps Desmond escape.Remember the lady who Altair mistake for the target who really was a lady i think that Lucy was her descendant and she was an assassin so Lucy became one and she helps Desmond escape to a assassin hideout in Taiwan and since Altair was a main assassin the other assassins help Altair find the Piece of Eden that Al Muliam and the game takes place in modern day but with smaller buildings and Desmond changes his identity to match Altair's which means he changes his name shaves his head and wears that robe he wears and claims he is Altair. The assassins follow his example and thing of him as their leader and during the game you go on some missions with a group of assassins to assassinate and steal info on the Piece of Eden but first of course you have to investigate the area before you do the steal and kill and in the game they make more stealthy weapons like smoke bombs and fake coins stuff like that and the assassins dont use guns and neither does the Abstergo and plus to help you get the info easier you can go to a pay phone and like call the cops and say there is a bomb in a area and hide in the crowds and stuff and you can also change your clothes then you can plan your own attacks like ACTUALLY plan them before you do it like real thieves and assassins and plus the environment lives like if a person is going crazy or someone robs a bank they actually show that the bank is being robbed and the person is going crazy

That sounds like a cool game.
