I think it's safe to assume Altair will be the hero in the next game, but don't count out Desmond not having a smidgen of a assassin role to play as he starts to think he is Altair. Apparently they are working on making who ever the hero swim.

I like the idea even if its not true.
Just so long as I get to capture Mary Antoinette.

That's the rumor i've heard the most of, that'd be a nice change of scenery but there are so many options for them to use. Though hopefully this will continue the story, a change of character and indeed time period seems to move away from that. Ah i'm looking forward to it, sod people who moan.

Not break so much from the first game in terms of story. That's not what sequels are about. Also, fix a couple of gameplay bugs and less tons of quests crap.

I would like to see a way where you can actually kill your target stealthily. No matter how many times i try, i could 'Blend' right up to my target, then try to assassinate them, and no matter what, they always seem to counter it, sending me into a fucking swordfight with 80 gaurds.

I rented this game and loved it for about an hour. While the visuals and controls worked well with the free-running aspect of the game, I felt that when it came to fighting and questing, the designers decided to "call it a day." Yes it's realistic in the sense that you can kill/be killed with a good hit, but there were far too many times when I got the same counter/kill animation, and the zooming in while in those animations got old; felt like I was being taken out of the atmosphere that was trying to be created. Then, the story...oh' the story. They should've put "rinse and repeat" on the cover or something. They need to vary the objectives if a sequel is, in fact coming out -- take a hint from the Hitman series. There are a number of ways to kill the target, would add to replayability too.

It is possible, but you really have to know what you're doing. For example,
For the bloke who was executing those four people and you had to assassinate him then, it took me a looong time to figure out that you could assassinate a guy at the back of the crowd and blend into the crowd as the guards came to inspect it. Then you bolt up the platform while his back is turned and strike, then book it out of there. It's hard work and takes lots of planning and probably a couple tries, but it ends up looking fascinating. Which is what I think they need to improve for the next game.

Tying in with that spoiler up there^, I'd like to see them give you 'hints' of what you can do to assassinate a target. For example, when using eagle vision, a person you can assassinate to draw away guards might glow green, etc. Not too clear, but enough to give you ideas.

Also, I'd like to see something out of the horse feature- mounted combat, for example. Maybe while escaping from a city, you're forced to leave the gate and gallop away, but the game forces you into a scene where you must use mounted combat to escape.

And please, please be set in Italy. Maybe the third game (should they make one) could be during the French Revolution... but Italy first.

If they do make a new one it will about the guy in the science lab's table thing. So it will just be an assassin in modern times.

Well all i know is that the next game will take place in Rienassance age Spain so you wont be playing as Altair but as a diffrent ancestor. All i hope for is that they make the plot leading up to the Assanation better. (I dont want to have to pickpocket anymore people.)

I enjoyed the first assassins creed quite a bit. I can see how some people got sick of the repetitive game play but it was fun to just roam around and kill guards and run, I loved stealth assassinations so much that at any time I could I would use that instead. I personally can not wait for Assassins creed 2, Italy as the setting would be amazing!

Yeah doing the side missions were kind of stupid. They were the same old thing over and over again. It got kind of one sided. NOt to mention a little boring it got more iteresting outside of the animus

Ahh, that's somewhat disappointing but Spain still sounds good. Would you be able to link a source with the information about AC2 in Spain?

Yeah it was definetely too short, not enough missions either, i supose it's worth the amount of cash you spend for it, its graphics are beautiful, but i agree, it is a very short game, i thought i was only 10% through the whole game, then i noticed i was actually half way through the god damn thing, If they made a AC2, graphics should stay the same because to play that game with bearable graphics you'd have to upgrade to a pretty decent graphics card, and i doubt AC fan's would wanna go out and make a hole in their wallet all over again because the AC team purchased a new graphics engine, they'd also need to put in alot more missions for it, make each one equally as exciting, sneaky, and brutally EVIL as eachother, but the size of the game wasn't impressing me, if they made more missions the size would be just redicolous.
It's an alright game but i dont think we'll see a sequeal for quite some time.

I want to be able to control the counter that i would use, instead of just knocking them to the ground i could choose to shank them or something else
