OK i'm really confused about this, i'm not alowed to get games rated 18 (I'm 14 if it matters). But im also a huge fan of Assassins creed, so i was pissed when i found out it was an 18. However i've just seen a add which claimed it was a 15, i've also seen assorted rateings on the box covers i've seen. I live in england, so im only intressed in the rateing here, does anyone know what the hell is going on?

I went to the Eurogamer Expo. There was a special area for 18+ games. Assassin's Creed 2 wasn't in there.

By the way, in the UK, it's theoretically not illegal to buy overage games in shops, because the government forgot to enforce the law with the EU or something like that. This might be repaired soon, so I don't know how long you have before you aren't allowed to tell the guy in the shop that they are refusing perfectly acceptable customer service.

It's an 18+, just get a mate to get it for you. If not, get your mum, the violence is no worse then the original

I'm 15, and if you're in England (like moi) I think you're gonna be confused until you see it on the shelf.

I've seen PEGI slap an 18 on it and the BBFC a 15, and I've seen both versions of the pre-order box in different shops (GAME had the BBFC whilst HMV had PEGI), plus I don't think all games are definitely using the PEGI system quite yet. So hold out for hope.

It's exceptionally annoying, and all it does is piss off gamers (our age at least) whilst the retard parents still by 5 year olds GTA and CoD anyway.

I realise the hypocrisy, but at the age of 15 there's nothing I don't know or haven't seen that's going to affect me in the slightest. The difference between someone 15 and someone 18 is virtually non-existent (in terms of brain function/capacity/whatever).

Ditch the 18+ rating I say, just give everything a 15+ and be done with it; not like Australia, just everything that would get an 18 make it a 15.

Ok, every site seems to say 15 now

And you care about the rating how? No one checks the ratings anymore.

If you have to have the game go get your parents to get you it.
And its my parent that doesn't let me have and 18 game.

Look, maybe you can argue some logic with them if that's the problem.

The first one was rated 15 by the BBFC, and the second one is rated 15 by the BBFC. So the second is clearly no worse than the first, it's just because they've got someone else rating it (and I think PEGI rated it 18 last time as well).

Actually since september this year the pegi ratings on games is legally enforcable in england

OT: According to wikipedia the BBFC rating is 15+ while the pegi rating is 18+:
