Assassin's Creed Casting

Well, since the AC movie has been announced, I figured that this a topic worth wasting time over. Now, to be fair: since Ubisoft is behind the project themselves, the film's story will most likely be an original one due to them not wanting to tread the same ground, so it is most likely that the established characters from the games will not appear.

Still, speculation over the casting of the known characters might be fun. So, thoughts?

Anyway, I'd like to see Jeremy Renner and Sharlto Copley in the same movie. Don't know how it would fit together in an Assassin's Creed movie though.

You've seen how formulaic the games are yes? Ubisoft doesn't strike me as concerned with reinventing the wheel.

I hope they do it with complete unknown actors, because films done like that generally turn out better. Hopefully they'll actually give it a solid plot that doesn't necessarily focus on the gameplay aspects of assassin's creed, like killing hundreds of guards.

But seriously, it may just be the Zorro thing but Antonio Banderas would make a cool assassin, Not the main character but maybe a mentor.
