Assassin's Creed Flick Targets Theaters for 2013 Release

I can't imagine this movie being good. The thing is, the games are very cinematic in design and execution, as well as some pretty good voice acting. And they do full origin stories for the games as well. Having played the games, it's going to feel rushed as character development in one of the games happens over about at least a period of 6 hours. 1.5-2 hours is not going to feel like enough time to introduce and develop a character in this setting, and any fans will openly compare it to the games.

I could be wrong though. We'll wait and see.

I hate movie adaptations of games. Because games are basically interactive movies, so by making a movie of a game, you're essentially taking something and making it definably worse.

Its about Altair...and that probably comes with a bit of Desmond...
Still I'm looking forward to it...hopefully it won't fail like Far Cry. -_-

Also Altair is going to be the guy who played David from Prometheus. (And Logan from Fable 3...didn't do bad in that)

It's going to be hard to do...but I'm hoping for a success.

Anyone else taken aback by the notion that Prince of Persia was a hit ? I mean, it's a nice thought and all, but the general consensus seems to be that no good video game movie has come out yet. And if they're rushing it (which they would be if it actually was released in 2013), I doubt it will break the trend.

Take your time and get it right, guys. This is one of my favourite video game series of all time. Please don't screw this up

Hope they play the Animus Past/Present dynamic to the hilt - that amounts to 2 lead roles. It can work nicely.

Hope they write (likely, wrote) it like a movie; not like a videogame.
Hope there's an open ending, not a clifhanger before the end credits.
