I was just thinking about pre-ordering the PC version of Revelations but I want to know if previous titles in the series have been ported well onto the PC.

I've played all the previous games on Xbox 360 so I know what I'll be getting but what I want to know is whether its worth getting it on PC instead this time.

Stick with the console version... I'm suddenly rather iffy about getting the PC version because Ubisoft will invariably have their godforsaken internet-always-on DRM and according to a fair few people, AC:R isn't as good as AC:B (which is saying something considering I thought AC:B was rubbish next to ACII). However, your choice in the end, though IMO, stay away from the PC release (if you posted this in Gaming Discussion, you'd undoubtedly have a great deal of anti-Ubisoft rage going on...)

It was confirmed on the Ubisoft forums that Revelations will NOT have alwaysonDRM, just for installation and of course for playing MP.

I dont think PC and 360 versions will differ THAT much if it comes to the SP story, if you enjoyed the MP on Brotherhood though you should give the PC version a try this time - mouse & KB are so much quicker and more precise than the controller when it comes to turning around to check behind you, believe me.
