Okay, this could go into Gaming Discussion, I guess, but I am looking for help here, so I reckon the Advice Forum is as good a place to post this.

Basically, I need to know if I've done something wrong. I have the Game of the Year edition of Assassin's Creed 2, which includes both DLC memory sequence packs and all three Templar Lairs - L'Arsenale, Santa Maria Dei Frari, and the Palazzo Medici. And my problem lies with the last of those three.

I know that I can access both the Venice-based lairs, since I have done so on a previous playthrough. But, I never really looked out for the Florence based one, the Palazzo Medci, until I reached the time period after Lorenzo Medici had already died in real life. So I assumed that the lair was blocked off because of that, because of the story in-game surrounding it - i.e. rescuing Lorenzo when captured in his own home by Templars.

But, I've recently begun playing through it again, and ever since meeting Lorenzo in-game I have been back to the Palazzo to see if the Templar Lair is open yet, but every time I go it is still closed. Researching it, I was informed that it should open after killing Francesco di Pazzi, but I checked afterwards and still nothing. I've now arrived in Venice and I still can't access it.

So, what I want to know is, what can I do to access the Palazzo Medici? Have I missed something somewhere, or is there a problem with the GOTY Edition that nobody has told me about? Has anyone else had this problem at all?

Hmm...
I had Goty AC2 (Yay acronyms) and it usually comes as an automatic part of the story. Best thing I can recommend is that you look on youtube showing the sequence starting, or type your problem into the search there. You can be pretty much assured someone else has had this problem and figured it out.

When did it start as an automatic part of the story? Which memory sequence, or whereabouts in the game? Knowing that would really help me see if I'm too far in so far, or if there's still a chance to play through it on this save file...

I think that it's supposed to be the last mission in Florence before you go to venice, But I really don't remember it too well.
