I know this horse has probably already been beat to death, but I would like people's opinion's on the game. I've literally just completed it (I haven't had access to it, and I didn't want to play it until I've played Revelations which I still have yet to do). I personally felt they could have made the adult life and the war a lot longer (i.e. fought in more battles etc.).

Other than that, I felt the game was spot on. They changed up the game play since the last AC I played, and I felt that the game was an overall improvement.

Let me know all of y'all's opinions.

Brotherhood and Revelations couldn't hold my interest and in the first AC, I was hoping it would hurry up and end already by about the midway point because it was all so repetitive. So by that token, AC III is just about tied with AC II as my favorite in the franchise.

Connor's ending I was fine with, though I agree that they could've made it a little longer and the actual final chase sequence was the most BS trial-and-error section of any game I've ever seen. Desmond's ending was absolute crap though, and broke him completely out of the character and situation that had been built up over the course of five games.

I really hope somebody uses the engine to make a swashbuckling game, though. There aren't enough of those.

Connor's ending was cool, though I felt as though it seemed rushed to kill the last Templars while the first were fairly well planned. Desmond's ending was total bollocks and shit on 3 lifetimes worth of story and ethics and forced the slavery for peace option instead of freedom for peace, totally not what I spent 5 games doing.

The gameplay was far too simplistic, it was dumbed down to "press x to win" and free running's change meant it was literally "hold this button to do everything" rather than "use these buttons to adapt to the run", which was already fairly simple.

I still enjoyed it though, definitely not the best AC but I still enjoyed the setting and the boat battles.

It was a good game and I thoroughly enjoyed it for the most part.

Like several of it's predecessors it does have its fair share of boring or arbitrary features(such as crafting and trading) but it was balanced out by other far more awesome additions(Sailing a pirate ship!)

I really liked the setting of the American Revolution and frankly I was just glad that the series has finally moved on to something new after spending so much time in the renaissance.

I actually really liked Conner as a character and I do feel his the story of his life and his quest to take down the Templars to be very compelling and emotional... The only problem was that alot of this was hard to grasp thanks to the poor voice acting of Conner himself which really failed to highlight the actual drama in the story itself... If you can get what I mean?

I imagine alot of the problems in this game could be fixed if they ever choose to make a continuation of Conners story like they did for Ezio's with Brotherhood and Revelations(Though they probably won't do that...)

In the end while it certainly does have its issues theirs nothing so wrong here that ever stopped me from enjoying it and having fun.

Also I couldn't care less about the ending in the future with Desmond even after four previous games of build-up I still couldn't get invested in his story.

Although I actually did like the few short missions you could play as Desmond in the future... I guess mainly for the change of scenery than anything else...

Connor's ending was about what I was expecting. The final chase was utter crap but his story wrapped up well enough. Desmond's ending and missions were pure shite. It's a shame that after all the hype and build up about conspiracies and the true origins of our race, it just fizzled out.

Yeah I thought that the final chase scene was a pain and a little anti-climatic (not much but a little), and The did make the free run much much easier but I personally thought that they fighting was a little more difficult.

Desmond's death was crap and I thought that I would be able to choose. I didn't like that fact that it didn't let me. Seems kind of ridiculous.

I'm just glad to see the end of Desmond. Hopefully if they make another game it will have a female protagonist. In my head I've started writing a story about a female Assassin apprentice to 'Robin Hood' but that would set it around the same time as the first game. But I can overlook any plot holes now that ugly face has gone :D
