Well, this thread isn't essentially about an Assassin's Creed book in the purest sense. But after searching one of the game's titular mottos (though it is doubtful that Ubisoft really believes it to be completely true), I found this. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alamut_(1938_novel)] Its a classic novel by the name of Alamut, upon which Assassin's Creed is closely based. It was written in 1938, but only recently was translated into English, and I'm planning on reading it after I finish the book I am currently working on. I figured I'd give you all the heads up about it, as, not only does it sound like a great read (assassins, marijuana, and it basically stars Altair? AWESOME!), but I doubt many people have heard of it before.
On that note, and also to add a little discussion to this thread, has anybody heard of this before? Can you tell us what you know? PLEASE, no spoilers, either for the book or game (though I have finished it, others may not have).
