Assassin's Creed: Utopia Is a City Building Sim

Guys, it's a bloody iOS app, not a full blown PC/Console game. Lots of people jumping on the "AC has jumped the shark" bandwagon. People do this with tons of games.

There's loose spinoffs, and then there's this. Being optimistic, I suppose there's could be some sort of unseen rationale behind it, perhaps the article understates the importance of assassin's guilds in the gameplay. Yet at this point I don't see how the Assassin's Creed franchise is going to appeal to city builder fans. I don't buy into IP milking like this.

This should surprise me, it really should. This seems like a natural extension of the city-building games in Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood.

Won't be long now before we see an Assassin's Creed Tower Defense game on mobile platforms.
