Talk of favoured eras and settings for another Assassin's Creed game got me thinking not of the viability of a story in those settings, but how many toys the game would provide for the assassin-character.
All of the games thus far (to a certain extent) have had a diverse range (at least name/appearance-wise, which is what I'm addressing here) in, for the most part, accurately represented, personal weaponry and armour. Though I can't speak for ACIII, haven't played it/had it spoiled for me.
So, pick your favourite era/location to have an AC game... but justification must come in what sharp pointy things you can use to kill people with (or analogous).
