So as a lot of people know, Dead Space 2 came out, blah blah blah. Point is, with school, and writing and such, I'm sort of too stretched to keep track of things, and I didn't play Dead Space 1. I see a couple of trailers for Dead Space 2 and think wow, that's cool. Because of the way it's marketed, and because I don't give it much attention, I assume it's a PS3 exclusive. I don't know entirely why. So then I'm catching up on the rooster teeth comics, and Geoff brings home a copy of DS2 to play with his daughter. The box is drawn as an xbox game, and I think "wow, this can't be right." A cursory Amazon search shows just how wrong I am. Obviously, I feel like an idiot.

So for discussion value, what's the strangest/stupidest/biggest/etc assumption you have ever made?

I don't understand your own silly assumption, but I once thought that The continent africa was just another name for the continent america (I'm european). I was 5, but it still is the silliest thing I can come up with now.

When I was younger I assumed that "Ignore kids who tease you and they'll eventually get bored with you" was not just a logical advice for a kid in school, but the truth. And being the everloving, blue-eyed fairy-child that I was, I thought that everything I perceived as teasing was because I was pretty short. Later I understood that I was teased for being Asian >_> Suffice to say, when I started High School and had to walk through town to school, I was a shivering, paranoid shut-in who thought that everyone around me was a neo nazi. Also, I get sudden impulses of rage when I think back to my time in school.

Well, I guess I now think more about how I'll raise my kids if I ever have any. Not being very social works prety well with gaming too.
