Yes, the classic Asteroids game is somehow going to be made into a film. A FILM!
How this can possibly work I have no clue, but I'm guessing some dumb producer got tricked by some uninspired but clever writer into making a film based on a triangle that shoots jagged circular objects, all for the purpose of money...if this even makes any money that is.
I have no idea even how they can have made a script for this, though I suspect there'll be a love story, or a tale of loss or something to spruce it up a bit, though it's essentially got to be that the Earth's going to collide with an asteroid belt and a crew has been found to man a special asteroid-blasting ship that unfortunately can only rotate in one axis to save the Earth from disaster.
