Love: Rurouni Kenshin is my favorite probably for no other reasons than nostalgia and charm, it was my first true anime after Pokemon and this little slice of historical fiction really hit it home with me. Outlaw Star is a close second because it's such a unique world with a really interesting main cast, and a neat story that wasn't too complex or stretched too thin. Thirdly is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. While I really liked the 2003 series, there's just so much FMA:B did right. Unlike the first series, this one had a more 'hopeful' feel to it but still got very dark at points, also the ending was much more rewarding seeing the Elric brothers get their bodies back and start over with the people they cared about. Besides, the action scenes were freaking epic, truly an anime masterpiece.
Enjoy: Naruto, Bleach, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Samurai Champloo, DBZ, Cowboy Bebop and the like. They're not the greatest, but I still find them to be entertaining whatever their faults may be and they make up the majority of why I love anime.
Hate: Dragonball GT, KissxSis, FLCL and One Piece. I don't think Dragonball GT needs an explanation, but the others... ><; KissxSis was just, SUPREMELY uncomfortable to watch, it's basically softcore porn involving two sisters trying to molest the shit out of their step-brother. KissxSis would have made a good hentai or something, but as a regular anime series it was WAAAAY creepy. FLCL seemed like it's only goal was to take your sanity and raep it, really just too strange of a show for me, but I must admit, I found pulling a guitar from a 13 year old boy's skull to use as a weapon highly amusing. And I know I'm gonna get shit for this one, but One Piece is just weird. The premise of the story, the artwork, and the characters bother me for reasons I don't quite understand.
