Didn't know where to put this, but I wanna give the middle finger to Time Warner Cable for good. The recent FOX thing is gonna jack prices even higher, and right now for TV and internet it's pushing the $100 mark.
AT&T DSL is the cheapest possible (best possible) alternative @ $30 a month for 3.0mbps down, 512k up (By comparison the Time Warner Plan is 8.0mbps down, 512k up). Dynamic IP (gripe), but I wonder how much for a static IP "upgrade" (aka checkbox enabled on their end).
There are 4 PCs in this house in regular use during the evening hours, then at night its pretty much just the Xbox in the bedroom doing Netflix. Think this is a good enough swap? My Netflix won't go magically crappy?
