[HEADING=1]At this exact minute![/HEADING]

If my calculations are correct, when this thread hits 88 posts per hour, you're gonna see some serious shit!

... Where the hell are we? when the hell are we?
It's 4:29 pm, October 21st, and we are descending towards hill valley, california

[HEADING=3]precisely on schedule![/HEADING]

[hr]
Yes... That's right. As of...
This exact minute, it is officially the future.

So. What do you think of the future?
Is it everything you hoped for?
Did it live up to your expectations?

It certainly isn't quite what Back to the Future predicted, is it?

Anyway, here's something incredibly dumb I created for the occasion

Yes, it's very dumb.
Yes, it's unfinished.

I... Guess I'm gonna need a time machine now.
So that whenever I do finish it, I can go back and get it out on time.

So... Aside from getting the future largely wrong. (where's my hoverboard), Back to the Future has been my favourite film series for a long, long time.
It's just one of those things that I can watch over and over.
There's always something new to see in it.

Given the occassion, do any of you have any fond memories of those films?
How do you feel about them in general?

Is there something in particular you always think of?

Thoughts on the Lego dimensions Back to the future sets?

You know, the future's whatever you make of it.
So...

Whatever thoughts you have, whether they be on the future, the accuracy of Back to the Future 2 (or lack thereof) or anything else related to Back to the Future...
Now's the time, because this moment will never come again!

See you in the past.
you mean the future?
... Whatever!

[HEADING=2]update:[/HEADING]

Firstly, the big one. Toyota pulled a few strings, I see.

And... I wasn't the only one to note this day.
Some random things from my youtube subscription feed:

And of course, Micheal J Fox trying on some self-lacing sneakers.

It makes me feel a little sad to see just how bad his hands are shaking these days though.

... Huh. Even politicians getting in on it. >_<

That was pretty neat! :p

Yeah, future's different to what I imagine it to be, at least my own one. It feels like I'll never reach that which I imagine things will be like lol, but I don't feel bad about it. Where I am now is cause of my own effort, and that itself makes it a good situation.

As for the state of affairs, the world keeps spinning, the stars still sparkle and the cosmos is still as crazy and as beautiful as ever:

I'm just stealing this into this thread.

Other than that, does someone has a time machine? I need it for my studies.

Haha! That's awesome.

And... Sorry, no. I do not have a time machine. I might well be an alien from the future, but... Any time travel was purely by accident.

In the same news, the future sucks and the duo calls us on it.

That movie was so unrealistic. I traveled back in time and made out with my mom and I turned out okay.

Captcha: trust me. I think that was Aladdin, not BTTF, Captcha.

Ah, just found that a few minutes ago. Was about to post it. You beat me to it.
Well done.

I... Promise not to travel back in time and pre-emptively post it ahead of you. ;p

I can think of nothing wrong with my life! Why, what are you implying?
~Shrug~ How would I know! Not like I know all that much about you... XD

I guess your mom wasn't that into you then. 'cause, that was kinda Marty's problem, wasn't it? More interesting than his dad. XD

Still waiting for the hoverboards to become available... But seeing as I'm not a skater, I think I'll settle for a jet pack.

Anyway, I love all 3 of these movies equally (despite some issues in the latter films)... That reminds me, I should really dig out my DVD set to watch them sometime...

Yeah... I love the idea of a hoverboard, but considering how badly I did with a skateboard while I had one...
I'd probably get fed up with it pretty quickly.

Reminds me, I was going to watch the films again for the... occasion, but...
Haven't.
Figures. XD

I mean, I've only seen them 30 or 40 times...
That's not that often, right? XD

Well, I am an amysstery wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in bubble wrap for some reason....>.>

True, my mom never tried to steal my pants, either.

Reminds me, I was going to watch the films again for the... occasion, but...
I watched them a couple months ago without even thinking about the fact that it was 2015 until I was into the second movie. The movies are not without flaw, but they hold up pretty damn well for something from the 80s.

...and, I didn't think anything good could come out of the 80s. >.>

No... Perhaps that's just as well. I mean, realistically, it's all kinds of weird and awkward...

Not perfect, no. But I can't think of many things that can stand up to repeat viewing quite so well.
I mean, sure, you kinda get sick of anything if you see it often enough...
But for me at least, that point arrived a lot sooner with most other things I can think of...

... So... Star Trek Online gave everyone a free hoverboard in honour of BTTF day...

And the board only works on water!

Going for extra irony here perhaps?
Well, it's amusing to fly around Risa on one at least...

Is it sad that I haven't actually seen any BTTF movies?

I suppose admitting something like that in the wrong communities is like saying that you think the Wii U is the best gaming platform this generation...

Then again, that wouldn't be entirely wrong either...

I think I'll just leave now before I dig the hole any deeper than I already have...

Incredibly sad and you should totally rectify that situation ASAP.

Nah man. Just incredibly sad you've never experienced them. They're really that good.

Over 4 hours ago, I saw the Back To The Future trilogy with the [REDACTED] fandom... It was awesome! We either had our favorite from the trilogy, people who have never seen the trilogy back-to-back, and people who have never seen any of the movies... The amount of commentary-based jokes in the style of CinemaSin's "discount X", for example, added an extra layer to the entire experience...

With that said, the future is so bright that I got to wear shades, blame Scott for not having the same 2015 as the second Back To The Future movie, every fan of the trilogy should play Telltale's Back To The Future video game, and in the mortal words of Doc Brown himself:
"I did not create the time machine to fix time! I created the time machine to destroy the entire universe!"

I still think Doc was suicidal and wanted to take Marty with him but was thwarted by the one invention that actually worked. If it hadn't, there'd be a stain on the mall parking lot with a video suicide note.

That sounds amazing.
And is that a quote from the telltale game? I don't remember it, but it's been a while since I played it.

Thinking back on it, the funniest thing from that movie to me was the idea that we'd all have multiple fax machines in our homes. Even here in 2015, a fax machine is usually a low-quality copier attached to a low-quality 14.4k telephone modem. Honestly I'm still surprised we use them for anything at all.
