Im, bored and curious ( as always) . Pretty simple question, at what point do you consider your thread a success?

Personally , i consider my thread a sucess after about 3 pages of replies, roughly 100 posts ( around that much ), between 50 and 100 is okay , and less than that a complete and utter failure . Although i do read all the replies , be it 1 , 100 or 1000 . But only if it is a thread i create otherwise i only read the first ( maybe second ) page.

Your turn.( heres to hoping i get at least 100 replies)

If the posts are intriguing or somewhat interesting. Yes I do believe I've failed my own criteria. Better muster up an excuse, hmm too busy laughing at those ridiculous traveler fight threat videos on youtube.

It varies in the forums. If you have more than 10 replies in the User Reviews Forum, then your thread is a success in terms of attention.

In Forum Games, it's different. Better to get a minimum of 4 pages of replies to cement your threads future success. Take it from someone whose Game went for 1500 pages. >.>

Here in Off Topic, more than 30 replies is good enough I think.

I personally see a thread as a success if it garners more than 2 pages of replies. Exception for the User Reviews applies. Seriously peoples. Go there! D:

Personally, for me, I'd say more then one page of replies. I probably get more excited then I should.

Pretty much at least over 2 or 3 pages. I would consider it to be a huge success if you got the "Forum Inferno" or "Amazing Topic!" badges from it.

For my threads personally, I'd need to get two or more pages of comments to consider it sucessf. The thread would also have to be worth posting in; but I wouldn't make a thread unless I thought it was, so that goes without saying.

However I've only ever made one thread, and it didn't even get one page of comments, so perhaps I'm setting the bar too high for myself.

I seldom post threads (I've probably made 3 on the escapist)...and when I do it's typically just of random thoughts or questions.

I consider a thread I post successful when I get an answer or discussion value that intrigues me. As such, that is typically within the first few responses.

I've started one thread in my time here. It cannoned to the Hot Topics list and earned me a fair crop of badges, so I guess I'd call that one a success?

Meh, I'm happy if even one person responds with a reasonably engaging and intelligent response. Or at least if it goes 5 posts without mentioning Hitler.

I think my largest thread was about 300 or so responses. It was about odd conversations with friends and eventually turned into a 200+ response conversation about masturbation. Success? Maybe not, but it did fall under the "Odd conversations with friends" thing that I started the thread to talk about, so considering that it got that many and did stay more or less true to the thread, I consider it a success.

When my reviews get more views than Marters reviews. ;p

But really, seeing as I post threads in User Reviews, if I get 1000 views there, that's a run away success for that section. If I get 500 views, that's a success in my eyes.

And this usually happens, as you review games and stuff that people care about. :p

OT: I consider one review a success if it gets 100 views. That's a low standard, I know, but considering how difficult it seems to be to get to 100 views, I'm going with that. (And I want all of my reviews to be a "success," so that's another reason.)

You make a lot of threads, Krazykidd. But I'll forgive you this time because your avatar is Noa and I've gone on record as saying that she rocks.

I generally consider my thread a success if I get to a second page. Interesting responses that actually take the concept seriously are a definite plus. And yes, if you reply to my threads, I read your comment. I read all the replies.
