That's the thing, I don't have an issues with people with beliefs, they can go sit in their corner and believe what they want, and I'll go sit in mine and not believe anything. However, I don't get why they like to invade my corner and force feed me scripture.

also, people don't have a problem with athiests, but they get pissed off if athiests attempt to denounce one of their main beliefs in life, which doesn't always happen because they want to anger the religious people, but because they are simply voicing their opinion on threads similar to this.

I don't do anything but chill, I don't laugh at, denounce, or anything, but still, someone will talk to me like I believe in god and I'll very calmly say I'm atheist and they suddenly start cramming scripture down my throat as if they can't save my non-exsistant soul fast enough.

They're probably of the "just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean it doesn't exist" school of thought. For example, if you lived in the desert, had never seen a tiger, never heard of a tiger, and knew nothing about tigers, you wouldn't believe in the existence of tigers. However, the first time you go to a jungle and hey look at that, there's a tiger chewing on your face, your lack of belief would be debunked just as much as intellectuals like to try and debunk the existence of souls, God, or anything else larger or more significant than the next paycheque, SUV purchase, home mortgage and/or blowjob.
