ATI 3D Support?

So with the GTX 470/480 out now and slightly underwhelming, I've decided to get an ATI 5870. My only question is whether or not it will support 3D output for games and movies. That was the main reason I waited for Fermi, since Nvidia officially supported 3D. The last time I checked, ATI required a driver from iZ3D to output in 3d. With the Catalyst 10.3 drivers out now, is there still a need for these 3rd party drivers? If not, then is it required you get a transmitter similar to the one included in the Nvidia 3D Vision kit? So, anyone with 3D experience from Nvidia/ATI, I'd love your feedback.

Can't believe you haven't had an answer yet... You tried google?
Day in and day out brother. I've found nothing solid as of yet. Personally, I'm leaning more towards Nvidia for the simple fact that they advertise and support 3D.

edit- I've not even succeded in finding an efficient means of e-mailing ATI/AMD. The forms required for support require a rather lengthy description of the Hardware you're trying to get support for.

Probably your best bet then. I'm suprised, we normally have a massive load of hardware buffs on this site. Guess they are all busy.
Then it's partially decided on then. I truly appreciate your help my friend. I suppose i'll just monitor this thread until it's pushed down into oblivion.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't heard anything on ATi making 3D graphics cards, let alone making 3D backwards compatable with current hardware.
