So...does this mean no Demon's Souls 2?

Well this came straight out of nowhere. I guess a Demon Soul's 2 is out of the question?

Argh, cannot stand the degree of ignorance much longer... *cringes*

Demon's Souls was never developed by Atlus in the first place. It was made by a Japanese Sony first-party studio, From Software. All Atlus did was publish the game in America. If Demon's Souls 2 is ever to be made, Atlus dissolving will have no affect on its creation.

True, but no one else would bring Demon Souls to the US. And its possible no one else will bring Demon Souls 2 to the US if its made. So this still means I won't get a Demon Souls 2.

Namco brought Demon's Souls to Europe and considering it's success in the US I'd imagine they would be more than happy to fill in for Atlus.

This sucks. Atlus have made superb RPG's like my personal favourites, the Digital Devil Sagas.

Well they said they would let them finish their current projects so hopefully there will be.

Never played any of them. Trauma center looked lame, I don't even know the pernunciation of "Shin Megami Tensei," Demons Souls is still extremely overpriced for the level of interest I have in it. My few of my friends swear by persona 3, but since their descriptions all start out with "It's this game where you're in high school..." I have no remote interest or intent of looking into it.

So yeah, no opinion.

Ask a friend to borrow it for a couple of days. The worst that happens is you won't like it.

I'm not giving up on Marvel vs Capcom 3 just because they put Deadpool in it.

Exactly. It's not as if Atlus is the only company that can bring a theoretical Demon's Souls 2 to the US. It's proven to have an audience, so I'm sure if a company could localise it for the US and make money, they'd do it.

Also, I'm seriously hating how many people in this thread think Atlus actually MADE Demon's Souls.
