I'm looking for a really atmospheric horror game that has me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and really makes me jump.
The only games that have managed to this to me so far are condemned and the darkness (although the darkness might not be classed as horror, but it is very dark)
I have a 360 and a PS3, any suggestions?

You also have a computer and an internets. Google and download Mondo Agency.

You could try the original F.E.A.R, although not THE scariest game in the world, it's pretty fun.

Give up with games for a mo and watch a scary movie (not Scary Movie, that would do the opposite)

Silent Hill? I think that's on 360.
Silent Hill: Homecoming is...but it isn't as scary as Silent Hill 2...neither does it have such a riveting story.
Cool, ill give silent hill 2 a try then, the film wasn't that scary but i can imagine it being scarier if you're playing the main character, thanks.

Ive heard good things about that, whats it for?
PS3. There just isn't much that can compare to the horrible feeling you get in your gut when you hear a zombie coming your way and finding your hiding place.

The movie was based on Silent Hill, and the film was also a piece of fail. Silent Hill 2 however is an excellent game if you play it properly. If you have any trouble, PM me, I can help you with it.

Get Thief: Deadly Shadows and play through to the Shalebrdige Cradle level, because that is the scariest thing I have ever experienced in a game.

Actually, that whole series is pretty damn atmospheric and tense, and you will jump from time to time, though they're not all "scary" all the way through.

(Doesn't really answer your question)
