So this summer I'm going to Boston for a Bass program at the Berkeley School of Music. I'll have a lot of free time, so I'm wondering about what to do in the city.

What are some awesome museums, parks, clubs, restaurants, etc that I should see?

I should really know more about it, Faneuil Hall is always fun though. It's basically an outdoor mall, plenty of places to eat and a few shops, plus they usually have street performers nearby.

Erm... I'm in a suburb of Boston. If you're a funny guy, go check out the Children's museum. Oh, and the museum of Science is a must see (I think there's another one somewhere else, I'm not sure.) Oh and the aquarium too... Oh and check out Guitar Center. I'm no help, am I?

Off the record, I almost expected this to be a "Want to meet up?" kind of thing.

There's Lauren Coleman's cryptozoology museum in Rockport...It's like a forty minute train ride from North Station. And the New England Aquarium on the waterfront is positively my favorite place in the world :)

Yeah, actually I did too. I saw 'Bass' and 'Berkeley' and was like, "jam session?"

Right near Berkley is the Prudential Center which is essentially a small mall with plenty of restaurants and mall stuff. Fenway Park is right down the street a short way. Follow Mass Ave into Cambridge to visit Harvard Square which has good food and shopping. Museum of Fine Arts is on Huntington Ave which is a short 5 min walk from Berkley. To walk to the museum itself may take 20-30 mins tops. Right on Boylston street which is right next to Berkley is plenty of shopping and more restaurants. If you keep following Boylston towards Park Street station is Boston Commons which is a nice park. Parallel to Boylston is Newbury Street which is more food and shopping(are we seeing a trend?). Back over by Fenway Park there are some clubs, bars, and House of Blues for concerts. Theater District is over by Park Street I believe.

I'm from the area originally and I'm at Northeastern University which is a solid 10 mins from Berkley. Take my word, theres plenty to do.

EDIT: movie theater by Fenway Park

Nah, I never go to the internet for meet-ups(for obvious reasons).

But hey, if you're going to be at Berkeley this summer, we might meet anyway...

Throw tea bags at the ocean.

As you may have guessed, I have never been to Boston. Although a little birdy told me it's nice in the fall.
