ATTENTION WarCraft III/3 Players!!!! Dangerious exploit found!

On every major Wc3 Modding site we've received news that there is a glitch/bug/eploit you name it! which could compromise computer security. It has the potential to allow machine code to be run using Jass glitch.

This could potentially be used to spread malware across Custom maps. So for now on don't play any new custom maps until the bug is fixed!

EDIT: Old maps could be played just be wary of new maps.

Edit: Most anti-viruses will fail to detect this treat as anti-viruses aren't programmed to detect such exploits! Most users will give WarCraft III full control which only ads to the trouble. Do not give Wc3 any exclusion if you have to play a custom map!!1 YOU'RE WARNED!!!!

I've posted this on Blizzard Techsupport section so I hope they'll fix this ASAP.

You can keep playing old Custom Maps just don't play new ones.

I did indeed. I played most of the custom maps, at least once.

Even the gazillion LOTR ripoffs? (some of which were ridiculously unbalanced) there was even a starcraft mod , where someone had ported over the skins

I am confused on what is happening here to be honest, based on my research you need to DOWNLOAD a map to get this, correct?

You only need to start/play the map. If the map contains the jass script to abuse it sure your computer could be in danger. Most users allow their games to do whatever thy want and aren't restricted by firewalls and anti-viruses. This will potentially allow your computer to be potentially fully vulnerable for any malware.

This can only affect computers running version 1.22 and 1.23 of WarCraft III( presumably The Frozen Throne ).
