I've never heard of antipodean before and hearing it now.... it sounds like the name of some species that has an exoskeleton.

It's pronounced something like an-tip-oh-dee, I'm not sure if it just means southern hemisphere or if it refers to Australia and New Zealand specifically.

Check the date on that video. EA made their announcement regarding the removal of online passes on May 15 [http://kotaku.com/ea-getting-rid-of-online-passes-507021364] (check the date on that article and the linked article compared to the date of Jim's video). That video came out April 1, before EA even made the announcement. Therefore, Jim's comment about EA "removing online passes" had little to do with the actual removal of online passes that EA announced over a month after Jim made that video. It was mere coincidence that they happened to sound like the same thing.

And while I don't like the idea of charging for customer support, its hardly something EA invented, and at least unlike some people *coughfucksteamsupportcough* their support isn't totally shit.
