Take an author, give them superpowers and a superhero name, and revel in it. Thread was inspired by a Yahtzee podcast, and I thought it was a brilliant idea to bring it in.

My contribution: Steel Gaiman.

Neil Gaiman was just a mild-mannered British author, until one fateful day, when an experimental missile with a warhead of destructive nanotechnology was struck by lightning and exploded over his house, destroying him and his home and rebuilding him with a body of living steel. Now he fights crime with his fellow superhero Douglas Atoms, battling the notorious Payn Rand!

Yes, I know Gabriel already used it, but it was good enough for me, and I'm lazy.

Oscar Wildbeast.

Oscar Wilde was just a witty and charming homosexual, until one day he was bitten by a radioactive orphan (as people in the Victorian era were from time to time[footnote]Source: my seventh grade history test answers.[/footnote]) This gave him the powers of flight, and disabling technology. Now, as Oscar Wildchild, he fights The Artful Dodgers, Jack the Rippers and other criminal elements by flying around in the air and by disabling iPhones. While it's not clear exactly how that stops crime, he is Oscar Wilde and if anyone can do it it's him.
