While browsing Steam Greenlight, I bumped into something called Automation. As a bit of a car person, I instantly went to their site, downloaded the Engine Designer demo... and lost myself for hours. I'm actually surprised that nobody made something like that earlier!

So far, the basic free demo has Incline-4 engines plus tutorials and challenges for them - you're awarded points for how much your engine fits challenge-specific criteria, that include weight, economy, torque, POWEEER [read that in Clarkson's voice] and more. If you pre-order the game, you instantly get V8s and Flat-8's, and receive all the updates, that will gradually add stuff as it's finished by the developer - pretty much exactly the same way Minecraft works, the launcher even looks alike. Right now - Turbos and Superchargers are coming.
