I really dislike disturbing or just plain distracting avatars. There's generally a choice few people in a large thread that I'll completely skip over because the picture is either creeping me out or sucking the life out of my reading capabilities.

Here's a larger version from the bluray.

Ah, I see. Not what I thought, actually.
Looked to me like she was holding her arms up, cheering :p
But still cute nonetheless ^^
Haha ok.

I wish I had one of her cheering ;_;

I don't have a bias for or against any particular avatar (though if I find it especially witty, I'll send the user a message complementing them), but I do have the tendency of assuming people are the gender of their avatar...

I tend to skip the posts of anyone with a My Little Pony avatar. Not because I hate them or the series, but out of spite because I don't understand why everyone loves it so much.

I also tend to take people with furry avatars less seriously. Call me biased.

Avatars with anime anything on them tend to rub me the wrong way, most likely because in my youth I spent a lot of time over at DeviantART. And oh god - the anime. I'm so tired of the anime. I even like some of the shows, but the fans... the fans I cannot abide. Too many obnoxious, drama-loving pre-teens.

I do though like to use avatars as a way of spotting potential friends or just cool-looking people. I do think you can tell a lot about a person by how they choose to represent themselves. So if I see a reference to a show, or comic, or music I really like, I tend to give that person's opinion a little bit more of my time.

Until, of course, I realize their opinion is stupid. Then I feel sad.

I have a dislike of people who lack avatars. Makes it difficult to keep track of a conversation in a thread. On the same note, I dislike extremely generic avatars, such as bland anime style characters or MLP ones. Note I just mean the ones which look the same as any other; I've nothing against anime or MLP. Just that the art style's so simple it's hard to tell avatars apart.

I don't really have a bias against any avatar...execpt of a lack of thereforth.

Edit: Oh, and people with the same avatar as me, that's just annoying.

I'm glad to be one of the only ones with moustachioed Spike as mine then. I think there's only 1 other person who uses it, and it looks different from mine anyway.

L-L-Ladies.

And while I'm thinking about it, what's your avatar supposed to be? That's another kind I don't like, confusing ones :s

I can't think of anything that really truly bothers me in regard to avatars. I suppose pinup avatars do; you know, where the gal/guy is scantily - and in the case of anime often nonsensically - clad and in a provocative and unnatural pose. And lolis can bother me a little if they are in said provocative pose. Really? That?s what you want to be identified by?

I might even skim past post with such avatars at times, along with the avatar-less posts.

Original avatars are fun though! Since the Red Button Incident I?ve realised how much I recognise users by their avatars, and the original ones stand out. Sorry bronies, I like that show too, but some of you are starting to blend in with each other.

I?ve been thinking of changing my own avatar (again) but I like how simple it is, thinking of the comic it?s from makes me grin, and it?s kinda me; I want to be able to give the whole world the Thumbs-up of Encouragement!

Welp, gotta get back to work.

I don't think I'm biased against any avatars.. I find that I've heard some about my avatar being loli though. : /

No she isnt, she is just a little homeless girl!

Beyond that. Nah, I find little pony avatars a bit annoying, but I aint particularry biased against anything.

Yes. Next question, please.
I find this impossible. How could you hate her!? She's just too cute!! ^_^
*pounce cuddles avatar* :D
To put it simply:

I can think of many words to describe the above image, and "cute" is definitely not among them. I just plain old don't like "kawaii" girls (or however the hell you spell it), they annoy me while simultaneously giving off a very creepy vibe.

No insult intended to you though. If you like 'em then that's your business, and I'm no one to judge.

I assume anyone with a pony avatar is awesome unless proven otherwise.

EDIT: Except that one person with a disturbingly sexual Rainbow Dash avatar. Yeah, you. You know who you are.
I don't recall seeing anyone with a sexual Rainbow Dash avatar. Perhaps you mean Je Suis Ubermonkey [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/Je+Suis+Ubermonkey], who has a sexual Fluttershy avatar.

I really don't have a problem with any avatars, myself. People who change their avatars around all the time can be slightly irritating, because it makes it harder to keep track of who's who, since I identify people by their avatar, most of the time.

To be quite honest I've never really taken the time to think that much about an avatar. I tend to read the post and I usually take a quick glance, if that, at the avatar. This thread has sort changed that as I've been looking at most of the avatars of posts I've read.

I really don't like the "Glorious PC Master Race" or whatever it is, avatar.

The only thing I don't like about MLP avatars is that it makes it harder to remember people, as I like to remember people by their avatar but when every 3rd person has a pony it makes that more difficult.

I have no negative bias, but I tend to pay attention to those with Majoras Mask or DBZ avatars more.

I mean, really, how unique is my avatar? There's only a small handful of people with a Majora avatar here, so I like to feel that mine stands out.

when I see the same avatar for 2 people in the same thread. It makes my way of learning whom people are get balls'd up. Hasn't happened here yet. I don't have any bias against avatars, as they're purely ways of identification for me, not as ways to tell who someone is. I guess animated ones somewhat annoy me as I guess hypnotised by them.
