Avatar Change Issues

I've been meaning to change my Slayer-Child avatar for quite some time now. I've set it to my newer, more Trilby-er avatar, and the Escapist of course tells me to wait a few minutes for it to update across the Site. I leave for an hour, and see my Slayer-Child avatar still there. I have tried this several times, please explain if possible.

It happens. The same thing happened to me when I tried to upload a GIF of Suiseiseki banging a frying pan with a soup ladle. Sometimes you just have to find a different avatar.

Mine took a good day or two to change across from this one from an old one. It's slow yeah, but it does happen eventually.

Mine changed within 10min, maybe yours is broked??

Mine literally took only a few minutes... I suppose it's because all I did was replace the former picture with the exact same picture but with the E on it.
I can't really give many solutions... sorry.

Well, my desired avatar is just a still image of a familiar black trilby hat.

try hitting F5 idk, mine always changes instantly though so .

Found the bug and squashed it. If you update your avatar now, you should see the change in a few minutes; a force-refresh (Ctrl-F5) or two after that might still be needed to clear browser cache.

Also, you can use the Tech Team user group to report technical issues.

OT: Yeah, it usually takes a while, although they seem to have fixed it now.

It takes quite a while to change avatar on The Escapist. Just be patient.
