Avatar help (won't change)

I've tried to change my avatar from the pastafarian one I have currently several times, and it never seems to change despite the statement on my profile page saying it takes a few minutes. I used the search bar, and all it said was it takes 15 mins., but it has been about 1/2 an hour so far and nothing has changed. I tried different URLs, saving it to my HD, nothing!

I want this pic, guess where it's from:

Browsers don't always reload every image every time you visit a webpage. To save bandwith and load the page faster on return visits, browsers will store info (including images) on your system and will load from there for a period of time before it checks for differences.
