Now, I'm an absolute moron when it comes to this sort of thing, so bear with me if I come off as stupid.

I would like to make a gif my avatar.

Let's say I wanted a gif of Billy Kidman doing a Shooting Star Press as my avatar (which I do):

Use Photoshop or GIMP for best results.

Yes.

Animated gifs function exactly like normal image files (Minus backgrounds and such, unless appropriate software/OSes are installed).

It'll likely exceed the pixel limit, sorry.

Also, yeah, I need avatar help. Mine just shows up as a broken image. Apparently, everyone else can see it. Weird.

And that image falls well within the pixel limit.
