Seriously guys, bugger off.

I mean one or so every couple of weeks might be amusing but three at the same time? Really?

Just... control yourself.

For the rest of you who don't post in these, congratulations.

It's just harmless fun. There's nothing wrong with not being so serious all the time.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was some creative fun, but it just seems so... self-centred. I mean even with a zombie thread, you could get some creativity, but really the best response you're going to get from one of these is a one line answer.

It's just the way it goes, I think. One person makes a vaguely popular thread and then a load of other people begin making similar threads. You mentioned zombie threads, well if one were to start now about 'how prepared are you for the ZA' then within 20 minutes there'd be 'which weapon would you use', 'you can only save two people, who do you choose', 'be honest, how screwed would you be' threads and a host of others springing up like mushrooms after rain.

And in a way, haven't you just made your own Avatar thread?

Why you mad?

It's just a bit of fun dude, and they're all concerning different aspects of having an avatar. Not being harsh but this thread is probably less worth to us than those three threads individually.

This. And it's not hurting anyone. People like talking about their avatars. Some people might have made it themselves and want to show it off to people. Some might want to explain a weird avatar. Some might just want to increase their post count and an avatar thread is an easy wasy of doing that, because it doesn't require much thought on a subject.

Any forum is going to have a few threads that don't interest you. You just avoid them until they die down. Simple.

I do believe this is the cue for someone to make a "There's too many avatar threads about avatar threads" thread.

Threadception.

Useless and fun threads, I have no problem with. The same ones over and over are what bothers me.

I saw this too...I know what you mean.
I enjoy forum games, but the avatar ones do get a little tedious...or, moreso, the same one appears over and over again. I was tempted to start one thread that incorporated EVERY AVATAR GAME EVER. It's also because a lot of the answers are hollow - there isn't actually much room for discussion. Still, don't like it, don't open it.

It is kind of annoying I guess, I pretty much just zone them out nowadays though. All forum games are kind of annoying to me. They only thing they seem to be used for is for getting peoples post count up. But, I'm all for letting people do what they want. I'm not really bothered by them.

I only find avatar threads in particular annoying because my avatar has been updating for two days now and won't show up :(.

I must admit the 'Avatar' threads seem to me more like forum games, so it's a tad annoying to see them cluttering up the off-topic discussion board, but hey - at the end of the day it's not really harming anyone.
