Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are now confirmed, now who should play them?

Not really sure how I feel about this. I seem to remember a Big Picture[footnote]http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/the-big-picture/5685-Wrongs-Rights[/footnote] about how convoluted all the movie rights are to certain characters. I feel this is going to lead to differences in how the characters are portrayed canon-wise. Hell, I'm not even sure I like the idea of Pietro and Wanda in 2. Why not bring in Pym so we can set up for Ultron in Avengers 3 (and hopefully Vision).

This whole movie liscensing thing is a mess, so far as tying the universes continuity together is concerned.

I think the Ant Man film comes out after Avengers 2, so we'll probably see him in the third one.

In a perfect world, the last Spiderman film was never made, a Marvel one is being made and we'll see him in the next Avengers. She-Hulk would be good, but skill-wise might be a bit similar to the Hulk. Still, it would be cool to have a female character that can hold her own against the other members of the team.

Iron Man is also out, based on the ending of Iron Man 3 and Robert Downey Jr's contract also being over.

I think even if he isn't a main character in the next Avengers, we haven't seen the last of RDJ and Iron Man. It makes both him and Marvel far too much money to stop. Also:

- Iron Man (Marvel will probably give RDJ more money so he'll be there)

These two will be tricky to do considering FOX owns the X-Men. I hope they don't butcher their origin.

Logical characters to add to Avengers 2 or 3:

- Black Panther
- Vision (May be best to introduce him in 3 at the same time as Ultron)
- Ant-Man & Wasp (Not sure if Pym and Janet will ever be in the films though)
- Ms. Marvel (They may want to wait to 3... possibly introduce her in a more cosmic-based film)

Yeah, I don't really know that for sure. I've seen people online state it as fact, but I've never seen it mentioned directly by Marvel/Disney or FOX. I think it's a safe bet in any case.

Them being mutants AND being the children of Magneto are HUGE aspects to their characters. It's going to be really weird cutting both of those out.

Iron Man 3 is still in the cinemas. Any other chat about Avengers 2 is all guesswork.

Black Panther, Vision, Ms. Marvel, and Luke Cage are my wish list.

Although I doubt we'll see Vision for awhile. Would provide a nice setup for Ultron though (and perhaps a Disassembled movie). But between the rumors of Scarlet Witch and the upcoming Ant Man, it seems almost certain that Vision will make an appearance.

I think --because Q.Silver and S. Witch are typically associated with the Avengers-- Marvel can use them but they cannot say they are mutants and they cannot mention Magneto.

Hopefully, they'll dump Johannsen and Renner, Hawkeye and Black Widow were just glorified SHIELD agents I couldn't really care less about. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver will appearantly take more like antagonist roles than Avengers members, at least at the start of the film. Regarding their right; both Fox and Marvel holds the licence to use then due to them being both connected to the Avengers and to X-Men. However, Marvel can not mention Megneto, the X-Men or mutenats, and Fox can not mention The Avengers etc.

I'm sure RDJ will return for Avengers 2, though I hope it is his (as well as Tony Stark's) last appearance. Bring in fresh blood. Along with Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and Black Panther seems to be the ones that're on the slate.

Yeah, I am honestly kind of disappointed with the movieverse's version of Hawkeye. He's one of my favorite Avengers in the comics, but I honestly wouldn't mind him not returning in Avengers 2.

It's understandable though, considering they'd want to focus the screen time on Loki and the main Avengers.

If the contract with RDJ cannot be renewed, you think they will make do with Iron Patriot as Ironman? He's an interesting guy, I don't mind seeing more of him.

I am mostly indifferent to this. What I want is Doctor Strange. I know they are planning a movie for him after The Avengers 2 but I really want him now. Thanos is exactly the kind of universe ending thret that he deals with. Same gos for whetever Thor is going up against in his next movie. Give me the sorcerer supreme already!

It might be weird if they change the characters, but it's not like Marvel hasn't done it before.

Hawkeye and Black Widow are basically completely different in the movies than they are in the comics.

In the comics Jarvis is a human butler rather than a computer program.

And lets not even get into The Mandarin, since that would be serious spoiler territory for people who haven't watched Iron Man 3 yet.

Cage looks like he'll be showing up in the SHIELD series, so seeing him in the films might be a bit of a stretch. He was never on the Avengers A-list anyway, being relegated to the B team with Wolverine and Strange. I'd personally like to see the Inhumans on screen, possibly with a "are they good or bad?" angle when they show up and drop the Hulk with a whisper.

She-Hulk would be good, but skill-wise might be a bit similar to the Hulk. Still, it would be cool to have a female character that can hold her own against the other members of the team.

Also, seven-foot green women in sports bras are always good. Wait, did I say that out loud?

OT: I'd much rather see the cast of Avengers 2 increase than have anyone leave. Each member of the roster got to do his/her thing in the first movie, so there's nothing to make up in the second. They can be given less screen time without being shortchanged. What would shortchange them would be to leave them out of the sequel entirely. I'm fine with seeing less of the original six, but I still want to see them.
