I'm 20. I think most of the Escapist sits in the 18-23 range though if I'm not mistaken. I think someone else did a thread about this some time ago and had some age groupings and I seem to remember that one having the most votes. of course, that only measures people who've signed up on here, and not the average viewer, although it's probably pretty close to the same.

EDIT: Although, I do still cackle with childish/sadistic glee when I get awesome kills in videogames and do the happy dance when something particularly awesome happens. Like last night when my team on BF3 came back from a 70 point gap and won by 1. I laughed my ass off, did the happy dance, then went to bed because I knew that I wasn't going to get any more epic than that. XD

I had a big rant about him telling all your friends and co workers that he loves my little pony planned, but I think im taking this to seriously. If you get off on guys that get off on shows aimed at little girls, thats your business. Just seems a bit wierd and creepy to me

Huh. Writing like a little kid is hard. I'm currently 29. I split my time between this forum and a forum made up of people going with me on a heavy metal cruise this January. The cruise is a bit pricey, so everyone's an adult. As the OP stated, when everyone's a mature adult, the level of posturing and chest-puffing goes way down. Kind of gives me whiplash going back and forth between the two forums.
A metal cruise, intriguing. What does it entail?
We depart from Miami and will be spending 4 days on a luxury cruise. Interestingly, I've been told that the behavior of metal heads improves a lot in such a setting. Cruise staff have even reported enjoying them more than non-metal heads, since they aren't quite as demanding. Lots of big name bands will also be on the cruise and will be doing performances on the ship.
However, when they're not performing, they're pretty much just enjoying the cruise alongside the fans, leaving very little distinction between the fans and the band members, and they're fine with that, since they're getting paid to vacation on a cruise liner. I was told that late at night, they even take part in karaoke with all of the fans.
I don't know what the band lineup is, but even if I don't like it, I'm still looking forward to the experience. I really can't say any more until I've actually experienced the cruise. Here's a link if you want to check it out.

I'm 21 years old (or young, depends on how you look at it).

I don't generally tend to take age into account when reading people's posts here on The Escapist, so I'd be interested to learn what the average age is. If I had to blindly guess, I'd say it'd be somewhere in the teens or twenties age range.

My stance on ponies is probably fairly obvious. >>

16. and i don't often do the puffed out chest bravado thing. that's more of an everyone thing. Lets not confuse age for maturity, please, just because i haven't been alive for two decades doesn't make me a curse happy little cod freak who still sounds like a girl.

30, and smart enough to realise that age and gender is just a guide line, not a set of rules for what you can do or what you're allowed to enjoy. I could probably get into the pony show but honestly, I have enough ways to kill time for now.

Thank you. I was starting to despair that anyone older than mid-twenties was capable of keeping an open mind.

And is that a Morrowind avatar? Nice.

My personal average age is... 11.5! 1 + 2 + 4 + 5 + 6 + ... + 22 all divided by 22 =D

So yeah I'm 22 years old.
What you did there. It has been seen.

Me, I'm 23, 24 in a couple months.

I'm 30, married with three kids, living in the real world doing what I need to do to take care of my family. Which doesn't interfere with a love of games in the slightest. My oldest is a huge Pokemon fan himself, and learning the not just play the games but use type advantage and tactical thinking. Might switch him over to things like Final Fantasy: Tactics Advance soon too. Both the older two kids already enjoy tossing in Smash Brothers Melee, or playing the Soul Calibur games...though they've decided it's not fair to play me...just like the spouse. :( And yes, the oldest doesn't just button mash. His sister, well. She's 3, I don't expect combos from her otherwise just yet. The spouse is 31, and also comes here, just for mostly Zero Punctuation.
