David put both of his hands to his face. "Oh god, what have I gotten myself into..." he muttered to himself. David straightened up. "None of that explains why she isn't saying anything or why she's just smiling at us."

Tasha realized what he meant. He blushed and finished writing down the story idea and cleared his throat. [sub]"Excuse me, Ma'am. Who might you be in relation to Thenardier's? Are you a teacher?"[/sub]
Hataki looked at David, "you're forgetting she's older than us and by the looks of it, up there with some cosmetic magic to look younger. Old people have a right to be creepy, its just the way it is." she said and tried to repress her emotions, not wanting another outburst.
David glanced at Hataki. "I don't know. She gives me a wierd vibe." He began toying with his amulet. "The bad kind."
Harper turned back to face the cottage.
"Well I for one really don't think she's some kind of daemon or shrine maiden, I mean, what's wrong with having a house near an entrance to the underworld? She may not even know it's there. And I don't get any 'creepy vibe' off of her."
He turned back. "There's a simple reason for her not talking to us yet, we're a large group of youths - that always worries older people, and some of us are armed. She probably doesn't know what to make of us."

"Yeah, I'll wait here with these guys for a bit as we're not in any danger of any kind. Wait, where's Jack?"
Right, two things:
1) I am purposefully being genre blind ATM to counter everyone else being so genre savvy. I'm not going to be like this all RP.
2) I'm the only Brit on this RP (I think) so this puts me at a delay for reactions. I'd prefer it that I'm not chosen to be the person attacked by the creature (unless that happens at a point in time at which I can respond) because that wouldn't be exciting. Also, just assume I'm with you and am keeping to myself in any generic walking situation and am just hiding in a corner if a fight starts. If anyone needs me for something whilst I'm asleep (say I do get lunged at by the woman-who-will-surely-be-a-daemon) I give everyone permission the take control of me for anything they NEED to do.

@MrJKapowey I don't find anything wrong with the way your character is acting. It's better to have someone who acts like that in the story, I think.

The woman who had simply continued to watch the children suddenly began to chuckle, then laugh outright. Her voice was strangely nice, the laughter almost had a melodic chime to it. Then she spoke, her voice soft and pleasant as her laugh.
"You are all quite funny you know. Demons, Abominations, Mikos. I think you've all been reading too many stories." She chuckled again. "Still, I suppose it's lucky for you that it's not the old days or you might be in trouble."
With that she seemed to crouch down for a moment. Then, with a single leap she was over the wooden fence and landed heavily next to the road. Now that the fence no longer blocked her lower half it was very clear that she wasn't human. At the base of her abdomen her body smoothly changed into what seemed to be a lioness's body complete with four legs. On both sides of her lion body a pair of large white feathered wings slowly folded back against her sides from stabilizing her jump.
Now in clear view she seemed quite content and settled down, laying her lion body down and crossing her paws. Like this her head still rose a little bit taller then the students. Now relaxing again she seemed quite calm as she continued to smile at the group. She was now right on the side of the road; not blocking the path at all, but the group would have to get quite close if they wanted to pass straight by.
"Then I suppose you're students from up at the school then." Her voice was sweet and conversational as before. Her eyes seemed to light up for a moment (figuratively) as a thought came to her. "Oh, how is Ronny doing these days? It's been a while since I've sent him a letter."
The guide-bot continued to trundle along completely oblivious to the new person.

Joe turned sheepishly to face John, "Well it was worth a try, even if it is entirely incorrect seen as a child would only really walk on four legs for about 2 hours after midnight and similarily, it would only walk on three, or two plus the number of legs of the mobility assistance device of its choice, for say 5 hours at most."
I'm off to get my school uniform for next year bought, then I'm going to work so I'll be away for a bit until around 6-ish.
