After several minutes, Tasha came out with a small cup of tea. He placed it in front of David and took a seat by the table.
"Thank you," David took the cup to his lips and sipped.
"Now," David drawled. "I suppose you want to hear what happened."

"...Do you really have to ask? Yes, we want to hear what happened!"

David nodded lazily and began.
***Five minutes later***
David drank the last of his tea. "I believe the book has something to do with it. No one like him would be able to use the mirror, let alone cast spells without any help." David looked around, awaiting their reactions.

finishing sharpening her sword, Hataki broke out of the trance like state she was in and spoke. "That sound about right, he may have left a few of the details out that were unnecessary like the siren's head exploding in to little fragments but you didn't need to hear them." and she was very content with herself, getting enjoyment out of the slaughter that went on.

Tasha scowled. [sub]"Violence is what I got out of that. Which was disappointing. I'd thought the both of you would be more mature about it."[/sub] He propped a pair of reading glasses onto his nose and leaned back, the usual smile returning. [sub]"Well whatever. It isn't like you had a choice."[/sub]

"So, the real question is what are we going to do about it? It's been 20 minutes and one of our number has already been possessed by a book or something and then ran away, putting two of us at great personal danger."

... Also, MrJKapowey, Coastline = limit of town expansion. That's like the 20th sign I found around St. Piran...

Hmm, what about it? Our town is expanding as we join Corinth but people are making it hard. These WERE to stop people coming and building on the landclaim by marking out it's boundaries.

Despite them we've already had a town resident who started his own town remove 20 cubic meters of sand from the landclaim and someone else who came and built a large wooden house about 10 blocks from the first sign. He then began to coat the depression in front of the house in lava and managed to kill himself and me. Luckily we got two diamonds off the guy for the house and managed to get the other one to fix what he nicked. All is good.

"I really can't help the way i act to violence, from what i hear from my fathers side of the family my mom's side did get violent at times. I guess you can call it genetic? but a person can't control what their brain acts positively to, now can they? they can try to force down but it always resurfaces." Hataki said stuck between a frown and smile, looking deep in thought in general "Anyway, I say let the kid go, he probably got killed by the mirror anyway."

John sighed. This was already going downhill, and they hadn't even really started.

"Well, I suppose you guys did what you had too. Hopefully this situation won't come back to haunt us later."

"Knowing how things never go as planned it might as well. better for it to haunt us up here than down here, easier to deal with a possessed kid up here rather than down there with demons at our heels." Hataki said, then her stomach rumbled. "Is any meat i could have? raw preferably."

"I've got a ham roll if you want that? How long d'you think until we reach the underworld?"

"nah, something like steak would be better, i need meat to keep myself going, i have vast amounts of reserves but its not bottomless. always hated vegies and fruits for some reason. and i guess maybe a 10 or 15 minute walk and we should be there." Hataki then stood up and leaned against a wall.

"Right. If this is what the approach to the underworld is like then it's good to know we've got less than half an hour before we're REALLY screwed. Do you think we'll ever see that useless wanker again?"

Yeah, I looked at your complex (but it was night so I got shot at). I remember Tyras mentioning you before at some point.

Fun Fact: We've had MORE landclaim problems since putting up the signs than we did before.

Hataki then rummaged around in her bag looking for food finding a few pieces of jerky, she then electrified her hand heating them in the process. she then ate them. "Its going to be nice not having to worry about the sun."

Could I upgrade the weapon I've got in my day sack from a bolt action pistol to something a bit bigger? I hadn't realised this would be such a combat heavy RP and I'm left with effectively a weapon which can fire (with accurate stance and drills) around once every 5 seconds a small calibre projectile with minimal force and no kind of occult or arcane add-ons.

(if you really need it) TLDR - My weapon is too shit as I underestimated the combat levels of the RP, does anyone object to me upgrading the weapon to something better, but not excessive?

I'll post the new weapon here in case anyone wants to look at it.

Daid rummaged around his bag and pulled out a book and placed it on the table. The cover had a reflective surface and no visible title. He removed his amulet and placed it beside the book. David muttered something under his breath and flipped the book open.

Tasha's laser cannon can only fire about three times a minute. And if it does it runs a serious chance of overloading. Sorry forgot what I was going to write. I don't mind you modding your weaponry. You should probably check with Fishties.

"I guess so, but combined we probably have more than enough strength to defend ourselves from most mid power demons. Also who here is proficient in magic other than David? i myself have my electricity, but i wouldn't call it magic because i can't create spells as far as i know. Yet it can power magical things like the mirror that we found." Hataki said then finished the jerky that she pulled out.

"Damn it!" David let out an exasperated sigh. He slammed the book closed and placed it back in his bag. "This is no good."
He grabbed the amulet and placed it on around his neck.
