"Silence!" The face called even louder then before. "I am the Great Gatekeeper and I shall question you." It's voice returned to it's previous, still loud level. "Now mortals Senior Tasha Keen, John Hellek, and Joseph Harper. Why do you seek to pass beyond? Your appointed time is not yet at hand."
The Gatekeeper continued to stare with a stern look.
On the other hand, the Gatekeeper seemed to not even notice Galio; who, when he pressed against the barrier, could feel it weaken and fold away from him allowing him to pass through the door without resistance if he so chose.

In Astra's house, Astra seemed little concerned about what the students were doing so long as they were out of sight. She left just as another series of knocks were starting but they quickly stopped.
Hitaki and David could hear Astra's voice from where they were. She seemed to be trying for a cheery tone, but wasn't very convincing. "Why sister dearest! How nice to see you again. You know you really should of sent word that you were coming. I would have made some coffee for you."
The harsher voice that had been yelling could also be heard. It seemed quite agitated. "Cut the nonsense Astra. Where is she?"
"Why I don't think I know who you mean sis. You're going to have to be a little more specific..."
"Shove it." The unknown voice interrupted. "You know exactly who I mean. You were watching her last, and now she isn't anywhere on the mortal world. That means she's somewhere here. You know. I need to. Where?"
"Ahehehe..." Astra seemed quite nervous. "Well... Um..." It was clear though that she wasn't going to reveal whoever the other voice was searching for.

Hataki sheathed her sword and leaned back against the wall above the doorway "Damn it i can't even tell if its my mother, its been so long. How much family do i even have?" she said quietly to herself.
A gut feeling developed in that Hataki could feel it was family, but not specifically who.

"Yeah, like Harper said, we're here to accomplish some task for school; we have no idea what though. However, some of our friends have disappeared lately, and I have reason to believe that they're somewhere behind your door. I have no intention of leaving until we find them."
"And possibly smacked one in the face. What? Jack's been a really annoying wanker since we set off."
Tasha continued his mellow smile, [sub]"Why don't we concentrate on the present? Shall we?"[/sub]
"Forget this, if she's family then i deserve the wright to know who she is." Hataki looked at David "I'm going out there." Hataki jumped down off the ledge and walked into the main room, where the two demons were talking.
"Astra there is no reason to hide me if she knows im here already. I don't want you getting hurt over me, I'm not even a true succubus, i'm a halfling." Hataki said to Astra she then looked at the second demon. "You were looking for me, here i am. now might i ask who are you?"
Looking back at Astra for a moment Hataki said "I can handle myself, thank you for the hospitality but forgive me if i'm rude but i don't need to be babied." she then returned her look at the second demon.
"Astra there is no reason to hide me if she knows im here already. I don't want you getting hurt over me, I'm not even a true succubus, i'm a halfling." Hataki said to Astra she then looked at the second demon. "You were looking for me, here i am. now might i ask who are you?"
Looking back at Astra for a moment Hataki said "I can handle myself, thank you for the hospitality but forgive me if i'm rude but i don't need to be babied." she then returned her look at the second demon.
"I-uh, Hataki!" David hoped down after her. He skidded to a halt at the main room as soon as he noticed the second succubus. "Well~ hello the-" David caught himself. "Uh, hello miss."
Hataki looked over her shoulder at David. "Seem you're learning self-control, good." Hataki then looked back at the two demons talking. "Why am i so important? everyone up there views me as a disgrace, a mistake, unnatural. I was passed around like a cursed object, the only one who cared about me was uncle for crying out loud! What is it? am i the first of my kind?" her eyes were staring to get watery at this point.
"Am i an abomination? do i even deserve to live?" with that line Hataki drew out her sword and positioned it in front of her, hari-kari style. "What should a freak like me deserve to be blessed with a gift of life?"
breaking out of the psychotic state she was in, Hataki crumbled to the floor and started sobbing into her hands. "What the fuck is wrong with me!" red electricity started to flow from her eyes, following the path of her tears, down to the floor.

As Hitaki and David entered the main room the saw who Astra was speaking with. Another succubus stood there similar too, but not quite the same. While at initial glance the two succubi looked alike, a close examination revealed that the new comer was perhaps a slight bit older; her horns a little longer, her face a touch more mature, her curves a little larger; but it wouldn't be surprising to find that the two were sisters. The more obvious difference was that while Astra's skin was a light red, the other's was darker; almost maroon. Most striking though; while Astra was mostly clothed in white, the newcomer's clothing was the darkest navy blue.
The pair of demons both turned to face the intruders. Astra looked distinctively annoyed at the intrusion.
The other though looked confused for a moment before she realized what was going on. Then she rounded on Astra in furry. "Why you!" However, when Hitaki continued to talk and break down the newcommer seemed to soften considerably. Her anger melted away and she looked at Hitaki with a wistful, caring gaze. "Hitaki..." She said, her voice soft and soothing. "That's not true at all. Listen to..." She began to take a step towards Hitaki with a hand outstretched.
Whatever she was about to say though was interrupted. Astra suddenly jumped between the two. "Don't fill her head with lies!" She cried suddenly. She raised both hands over her head and a massive storm of lighting launched towards the newcomer.
The other succubus barely raised her own hands in time to block the attack, but now the two were locked together as electricity filled the air between them with loud cracks of thunder.
The two were clearly fighting somehow, though the method seemed foreign to David and Hitaki. Each demon barely moved, but electricity constantly flowed between the two. A stray arc flew sideways and a tasteful armchair burst into flames when struck. While not a thing had actually changed about the pair they looked different somehow. Something about the light of the electricity made their horns seem sharper, their nails looked like claws, they seemed taller, and their hair writhed with points like daggers. They seemed less sensual now, more like the demons that they allegedly were.
For a moment Astra turned her head to half look back at David and Hitaki. "David!" She yelled over the crackle of electricity. "Take Hitaki out the back door! I'll catch up with you later! Say my name and I shall appear!" With a wink she turned back to the battle. The lightning intensified and she took a careful step forward forcing the other demon a pace back.

With that the head faded away to nothing. The torches also slowly returned to their normal soft red glow.

"Jesus Christ" Hitaki said looking up from her hands. "I have a wright to know both side regardless of who is who. now if you two are going to fight like this, i shall put an end to this for you."
Hataki got up and walked between the two and started to soak up their electricity. it filled her head with more pain, unlike anything before. quickly feeling both demons losing power hataki managed to get them down to a point where the energy was only jumping to her. "I tried mom, hope i did you well." she said softly, then fell forwards.

Hataki was down but not out. the amount of electricity that surged though her body had merely paralyzed her for a while. still limp laying on the floor. she started to speak "I will not give up. I will not give up. i will not give up." each time she said it the words became louder and louder. "I WILL NOT GIVE UP!" and red electricity formed a skeleton outside her body.
with this the electricity willed her to get up and move. her body limp in the skeleton she started to laugh. "I realize what i am. i'm on an entirely new level, the powers of a demon and the manipulation of a human. i could like this. now both of you please tell me what is going on here before i tie you down and let David practice ripping thoughts from your mind." dragon like claws formed on both her hands and feet. "now if you don't. i might have to... well... it would be a shame for such a nice house like this to be messed up. i also have other classmates to get to. now will you two put aside your problems and start acting like adults."

John sighed. "Well, the way I see it, we've got two options."
"One. We go ahead and off ourselves. That should allow at least our souls entrance, and who knows? Maybe we could find some way of returning to our bodies once we get past this gate. But, I personally don't like that course of action."
John bent down and fiddled a bit with HK.

"Hmm, I like the sound of two" He dropped his bag. "I've got some flares and a bit of Thermite. That could help whatever you're thinking of doing."
Damn, I'm off to my Dad's (then down to his partner's father's) so no internets for me until Sunday night. And Holiday from Tuesday next week, till Tuesday the week after. Sorry guys.
