I've been noticing

in AvP1 and AvP2 when the predator was cloaked it drained energy

I'm playing AvP (or AvP3) on the 360, and it doesn't appear to drain energy

I could be wrong, but if I'm right then, what the heck is the point of being UN-cloaked?

Being cloaked is pretty useless anyway because marines spot you with Flashlights and always keep their backs to the walls and Aliens can still see you regardless.

Basically predators always stayed cloaked when stalking prey. However, performing certain actions left the enegery drained and they were uncloaked for a period. You're not supposed to just run around willy nilly wihtout a cloak, but doing certain things will make you uncloak and leave you vulnerable

so pretty much it's just the game way of being annoying and not auto-cloaking because it wants you to have to press a button because there is NO advantage to being uncloaked (like in the first few where being cloaked slowly drained your energy and messed up your vision a little bit)

also on another note
when did the predators zoom suck so bad
it's like we have x2, x3, and x4
anyone else remember when they had like x2, x4, x8, x16, x32?

well I guess the preds always had one useless feature or another

in AvP2 the wrist blade was completely useless once you got the combi stick, and considering you could just energy/medcomp/energy to fill health and energy that was a little cheap too

and in the classic AvP... actually you got me there, but the aliens had 1-shot tail attacks in AvP 2000

I think AvP2 was the best one over all, it should be brought to XBLA and Steam (and give it it's multiplayer back, dangit!)
