So the new AvP DLC came out, sporting 4 new maps and coming in at £4.99, which is about $7-8? Only two of the maps are actually useable for the main bulk of the game modes, while the other two are simple survival maps. I really don't think this is fair play from Sega/Rebellion for several reasons:

> There are only currently 6 online maps, which are quite small but not poorly designed.
> The dedicated server system (which I like best) is still in Beta.
> The match finding system is slow, I cannot pick my team and it switches game modes.
> I already paid full price for this game, I enjoy it but I feel the multiplayer content (which is the main driving point of the game.) is pretty lack luster and buggy.

I would have hoped that these 2 measly maps would be free, instead I have to pay £5, which is £1.20 a map, 2 of them I will not play as I don't use the Survivor feature. I think this is close to thuggery, I do enjoy the game and perhaps the community (which really is small) will be torn in half by this new map pack, which apparently was given free to people who pre ordered. This makes me think though, how much money will I have to pump into this game to ensure I can access all the servers and play with everyone? If they are already selling maps at these prices...I could end up paying for another game itself just in small maps. It's even worse when they are plugging things to us and they have yet to patch the thing...shows me where their loyalties lie.

Anyway, I have decided not to purchase this DLC, perhaps a personel boycott, this isn't a review of the game or anything but I was wondering, what you guys who play AvP, or those who have comments, what would/are you going to do?

It takes a lot for me to purchase DLC, and I only get it if it has single-player content.

So, as it is, I'll pass.

No its not cricket, cricket is a sport this is a battle against xenomorphs. But in all seriousness I hate the way that some companies give good DLC for free whilst others make you pay through the nose for stuff that actually makes there buggy garbage actually playable.

Then there is Lionhead who after 3 DLC's and 3 patches still have not fixed one of the bugs in Fable 2!

I am with Iwata on this one. If I am just renting DLC I don't pay and I don't play. Sp DlC sits nicely on my HDD and the company can go under while thier servers burst into flames and it won't effect my gaming. Unless there is a critical error in my hardware.

I'm still waiting for them to fix the matchmaking.... until then, the dust can gather while I play Borderlands.
