So I hear this new game, Alien vs Predator is coming out soon, within the next 20 years at least judging by the trailer. Looks really sexy and shiny and stuff. I never played the first ones though and I heard that they are an awesome online experience.

I am always up for a laugh online but I was wondering if anyone who is in the "know" about these AVP games has any ideas that it will offer the same style of online game play? The idea of hunting people patiently is a real turn on for me and my penis but I am not sure if I should give into any hype. If anyone has reached up under AVPs skirt and felt it's legs, and the legs are smooth please inform me NOW! So I can call my mother and ask her to tidy my room before I bring her back and play monopoly with her thanks bye.

Edit: Alright heres the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IC8RM1udgiY

I was amused by the second paragraph.

Anyhow, the game looks like a multiplayer treat, if they balance it, it might very well become the starcraft of the fps. Rebellion does have a 'decent' history. The concept is very solid and from what I have gathered each side has a very distinct feel and playstyle to it. I may even be so bold to say that with MW2 being what it is online and L4D2 being a bit it might even leech a large portion of players from those games - provided Sega/20th Century Fox are willing to part with some Marketing-golds.

Also a trailer was requested?

It looks pretty cool I guess.

Honestly though, I'd rather see a properly done Aliens VS Predator MOVIE more than anything.

I only really got into the original AVP, the idea of me, and my mates and a few gigantic miniguns with girl names against an endless horde of xeno's, eventually getting overpowered and taken out one by one by one. It was a good game, fast, visceral and unique in a time of bland fps'es and a oft overlooked gem, in my opinion. I don't play it anymore because modern day graphics have jaded my eyes with polygons and lens flares but I reminisce fondly of it.

The hell? I thought everyone knew about this game. What with the censorship debacle and whatnot.
