The final boss of Ninja Gaiden 2. The rest of them made me want to sit in a corner and cry, but the damn Archfiend, which they led you to believe to be the most badass fucker to ever walk the planet, was so fucking easy it isn't even funny. For fuck sake, the damn ninja dogs were harder than the Archfiend.

Fable 1 ended excellent, didn't it?
The final boss was difficult, yet beatable, it had variety, it was just awesome.

Fable 2?
Fuck no.
You shoot a guy in the crotch, and he falls to his death.
How difficult that was.

Fallout 3 also comes to mind, I can usually kill Colonel Autumn in 5 seconds, with any weapon.

I personally hate the opposite. Shit loads of easy missions then suddenly BAM you walk into the vertical difficulty curve.

Assuming I wasn't the only person to find the last few missions on Prototype a complete piss take. Especially what I hope is the final boss, I haven't actually defeated him yet... He keeps killing me with that super mega ultra shit-loadsa-tentacles-spurt-out-my-body-move but with longer reach.

Not just the final boss in borderlands but the guardians. Who are supposedly kick ass, and given the amount of XP attributed to killing them the developers clearly thought they were a challenge but they were easily the least troublesome enemies in the game.
Let me guess, you were Mordecai with Trespass right?

They do become hugely easy at that point.

Bioshock did that and I wasen't to thrilled about it. I remeber playing on Hard and having to die multiple times just to get to the final boss, only to find out that there is a health station a few yards to the side and they give you a ton of money toward the end just so you can prepare for the fight.

Fable is another example a final boss that is so easy that the AI kills him for you if you don't waste the bullet.

Twilight Princess and Metal Gear Solid, especially the former. The boss battles were waaaay too easy.
Que? REX, nay, all of the bosses were nails on the highest difficulties. With the possible exception of The End if you fought him with the internal Clock.
Metal Gear SOLID. 1. Not 2, prequel/3, or 4. Just 1.
Hence my mention of REX. I suppose the PS1 version was pretty easy, but some of the harder difficulties were still hard.

I had a brutal masher with 87*7 damage as well :)

They were easy as Roland as well though but I think that is because the game favours any weapon that shoots multiple projectiles at once; shotguns, mashers and those 2 submachine guns. I think it applies bonuses to each pellet rather than the shot as a whole.

Batman Arkham Asylum was a recent offender, I got excited for the final boss battle until I realized that Joker was too lazy to even throw more than a couple swings before sending out his henchmen. I felt pretty annoyed after that. I mean look at him! His design for that encounter was just screaming balls to the wall epic final boss battle and suddenly he decides that the best thing to do with his newfound strength is to wave at news helicopters while I beat up henchmen.
